Hi Alex! Congrats on your hard work!

Your timing is slowly getting better. You only need to be patient and continue focusing on this element which is one of the most important and you still have room to adjust it. This two lessons are perfect for this, as well as the other assignments from the timing workout.

Muse goes stoner lesson is sounding good but you should focus on the main pattern which is again not precise. I'm talking about the rhythm pattern covered here: LINK. Please dedicate some time to work on that assignment every day.

The second lesson is also very close, just keep on practicing to go even with every note.

Hey,

Here's a take for the rythme figure workout. I miss one note...
I've found a new way to work. Very efficient for me !
I think I have a problem with my phone camera, so the render may be a bit weird.

Edit :

Hey... What's going on today ? I have a very good vibe !
So here's a take for the Muse lesson too

I think it's good ! No ?

Awesome!!! Both takes are much better than the previous ones and show very impressing progress comparing your playing 2 months ago. I have to say that I've showed your progress to a private student here as an example of how hard work pays! I invite you to check again your previous takes to notice how much your playing has improved in only two months!!

There is still very little work to do to make this sound groovier and tighter but the progress is awesome. Keep on rocking.

Hey !
I've just uploaded my takes... so I post it here.

Muse goes stoner :

Timing workout :
Not very fun, but useful to improve timing.
First, I advice you to put your volume higher, I don't know the shit I've done but it's veeeeeeeeeeery quiet.
Anyway... I think I should submit this one to the workshop, what do you think about that ? Of course, with a best mix...

Hi Alex, good update.

These two takes are close to the previous that I've heard and it's natural, there is only 1 day of difference. Keep on practicing with the previous comments in mind, you playing will continue being polished.

About sharing the lesson at REC, it's always helpful to do it! wink.gif

Hey,

I've taken this 2 takes this evening.

I like them !

I've changed my tone for the Muse one, thinking it fits good too.

Hi Alex! The lessons are naturally evolving thanks to your hard work. I like the new tone for the Muse lesson, it helps to make your playing sound smoother along the whole take.

There is nothing else to add to my previous comments, just keep on the hard work!

Hi Gab,

About Muse goes stoner.

I 've isolated the sequences that give me problems to work on them.
It was the slide \8 6 in the main riff and the chromatic passage on the palm muted riff.

I can play well them. Now I must take a rest to assimilate them. I tried to make a REC tonight, it was a disaster. Too early, need to wait a few time.

Maybe tomorrow will be a groovier day smile.gif

About my tone, I've refined the last one. It's good !

About Rythme Figure Workout :

I think it's ready. I'll take a REC tomorrow.

Also, I need an advice. Which effect using to get my sound thicker ?

Edit :

here's a take

I need to refine the palm mute..

Hi Alex! Good job!

I like how your tone gets polished from take to take. Your playing is also progressing from take to take so you are on the right track! Please remember to focus a bit more on dynamics when playing riffs.

About thickening your tone, I use an emulated Fuzz pedal to get this kind of Stoner sound, have your tried it?

Hey, I've done a new take.
I tried with fuzz but it isn't sounded like I want. I'm totally beginner with effects so, I stay with my screamer overdrive at the moment which sound great for me.

I've done my best,

(as you can see, my wife has make order in my office tongue.gif biggrin.gif )
