You are heading the right direction soldier!! However, there are FOUR bits of tablature on 47 and you are only playing 2 of them. The first bit is alternate picking (warmup) where you pick each note. Then in example A it goes to strike once hammer many.

Then next two examples are slightly different from each other so don't be tricked in to thinking they are the same smile.gif Use your EAGLE EYES to find the difference and make sure to read all the instructions as to what is to be picked version what is to be hammered etc. You have a good start on this one soldier!! Go back and read through a bit more carefully and give me one more go!!!! I hate to have you do it again, ... wait,... I don't hate it, you are on the CUSP OF GREATNESS SOLDIER!!! DO IT AGAIN!! smile.gif

That's one of the "Strike Once Hammer Many" type licks, which I think you did in the first vid? But you did a pretty good job of it smile.gif I appreciate your zeal Soldier!!! But you may be going through the notes a bit too fast on some of these. Let's break it down.

There are four licks in this Mission. (Four Tablature Graphics)

1.)Warmup
Per the notes, alternate pick this as it’s only on one string so no traverse is involved and it will be good practice. Which is to say PICK EVERY NOTE. EVERY SINGLE NOTE Soldier!

2.)Part A
Entirely different fretting pattern than the warmup. A different lick. It's a small difference but go note by note and see if you can see what I'm saying. This lick is more like what you are playing, Strike the open string then Hammer on, per the nots.

3.)Unmarked Graphic Tablature Part B
ALTERNATE PICKING, PICK EVERY NOTE, THUMBLESS

4.)Unmarked Graphic Tablature Part C
this Lick is not the same as the one in the previous graphic. It's got another subtle difference. Go note by note to find it. Just like #3, ALTERNATE PICKING, PICK EVERY NOTE, THUMBLESS

That's all four bits smile.gif Make sense Soldier? Let me know if you have questions. Onward!

Sarge

HE'S BACK!!!
Now you're talking Soldier!! Let the enemy run in fear!!!! Well fought

Let's Debrief!!!

MEDALS OF HONOR

1.)STREEEEEETCH!! Very nice work on the killer stretch. This Mission is all about working your stretch!!!!

2.)Picking while Stretching: The stretch can throw off one's picking, but not you!! Picking is tight and on point.

3.)Muting while stretching: The stretch can also throw off the palm mute, but again not for you Soldier! Muting is solid and we hear no extra string noise.

In short,

You Just......

!!!LEVELED UP!!!

Another Mission, ANOTHER RECORD!!!!

WELL FOUGHT SOLDIER!!!! I know this mission has many challenges. Not least of which is that it's just a bit strange. The licks are not very familiar or natural in many cases. I wanted to throw something at you guys that made your fingers think twice about which bit you were playing. As a result, I use the same notes in all of them, but have you play it in slightly different ways each time.
The good news is, you KRUSHED IT SOLDIER!!!

Let's Debrief...

MEDALS OF HONOR
1.)Well played and executed. Good form on your tapping, hammering, pulling off, and your picking. You go back and forth between each quite well.

2.)Your palm mute technique continues to get better and better and you have gotten to the point where you can multi pick without lifting your right hand. This is a HUGE milestone that many players simply never reach.

3.)Your timing is also very good here. Everything is solid and not rushed and not lagging.

This is a hard Mission to conquer Soldier. You should feel proud at your having KILLED IT!!! You are only two MISSIONS away from the vaunted 5 Chevron Badge. I"ve never given one out. Ever. Not in more than 5 years. You would be the first ever @ GMC to have one. smile.gif I have no doubt that you will get it or go down fighting!!!!

In short you just....
LEVELED UP!!!!

MUCHO CONGRATS SOLDIER!!!

This crazy multi fingered tapping is tough for folks that love doing tapping/hammering. For folks that are new to 4 and 5 note tapping, all of this can be just insane. I'm impressed with how you worked through each bit. Each one gets harder and harder until you get to the last one which is nearly impossible. smile.gif

The good news is, you are now to level of playing the impossible, so..

Let's Debrief...

MEDALS OF HONOR
1.)Good tapping technique all around! No stray notes, not random string noise!

2.)Solid Timing on each one!!! It's VERY easy to RUSH and DRAG these from one section to the next just trying to get through it. But you play each one nice and even.

3.)Clean Left hand strikes. This is one of the hardest things to teach, hammer and pull with just the left hand and you got it!!

In short, you just.....

LEVELED UP!!!!!!
*Yet again broken every Record. There has NEVER been a LEVEL 49. Ever!

Hi Sarge

This is the mission

maybe the hardest.....

I have done the first take (picked one) while training, so you have the first pass from 140 to 200 bpm.
the unpicked and unpicked and thumbless version are short and done at 190 bpm..

My pinkie start to show his limits because of his injury

this is the 50th

Welcome to a Milestone Soldier!!!!

You are about to cross a major threshold. I watched the vid many times over more than one sitting to make sure. Level 50 is not something we have ever given out before so I wanted to be sure!

Let's debrief!!

MEDALS OF HONOR

1.)FINGER TRAVERSE: As I've come to expect, you have really gotten a good handle on traversing strings with both fingers and pick.

2.)PALM MUTE: You've had a good handle on your muting for a while now and it continues to improve.

3.)FINGER DEXTERITY: This Mission requires some serious finger dexterity and you have earned it Soldier!! With each step, you are becoming more and more the Axe Man you started out wanting to be!

In short Solder......

You Just......
!!!!!LEVELED UP!!!!!
*Not to mention, you've hit a HUGE Milestone, one never attained before. Also, this is the last level before you get the first chevron badge ever created beyond the one you currently have. We've never needed one and I never thought we would. Congratulations.

And here we are at MISSION 51! We are heading in to the tall grass now Soldier. It only gets tougher from here. But I think you are more than ready. You took on this mission with true agressive styile and it shows! Your playing gets better each time and I'm thrilled to see you making so much progress. Also, SUPER CONGRATS on remaining with the program and not being thrown off by the difficult bits. That alone is worth it's own Medal of Honor.

MEDALS OF HONOR

1.)Precise Pick Control (earned by countless hours of practice)
2.)Right and left hand TALKING as they should for killer hand synch (also countless hours of practice)
3.)Firmly planted right hand keeping any extra string noise at bay (crucial on licks like this that use every single string)

Super Congrats are in order here Soldier!! You have, yet again, broken all previous records and set a new one. A new bar for other folks to try to reach. I never had the need to make a Badge beyond 50 and I honestly doubted I'd ever need to. The training course is long and difficult. You have more than earned it Soldier. Here is the brand new QUINTUPLE CHEVRON BADGE.
You are the only recipient, ever to receive it. Again, well earned. Fight on Soldier!!!

Congrats Soldier, you just ...

LEVELED UP!!
