Here is where the magic happens: the REC board turns bedroom guitarists into real pros. Remember - it doesn't matter if you fail or pass, as long as you keep posting REC takes you will progress.

The entries will be graded by a number of instructors. After grading, members will be accredited with the appropriate points if they pass, and adjustments will be made to their REC level.
Passing grade is 6 or higher.

Very good job! It's very hard to capture that particular feel of Stephane's track but you got pretty close to it. Main problem is something very hard to explain and to give a proper feedback on how to fix it. It's about the soft and quit notes. You try to recreate that contrats from original lesson and you got far with this but still Stephane has this incredibly smooth touch on thos soft notes and they somehow stay very quiet and warm, but still cut through the mix. In your take I have that feeling like they are somehow gone at some points. From a good news - you've mastered some pretty twisted licks from the lesson and that's a huge + for you smile.gif

Hi, this is a very good effort. These licks are quite difficult to play, especially with the smoothness of Stephane.

I think you could improve the clarity of your playing. The busier runs don't quite flow like they should and some notes are lost so try to hone your technique to make sure you're picking the notes you need to and hammering / pulling off with enough velocity to keep the sustain.

As Darius says, you can also work on your picking dynamics so the you have more control over the hard and softer notes. I've mentioned in other REC videos of yours that you are a very soft player. Sometimes too soft so that the soft notes are almost inaudible in places. You've improved in this area already. With this lesson, I think you need to bring the soft notes up a little and the hard notes down a bit. Like compression! smile.gif
