I have ez drummer with drum kit from hell expansion and a podxt so i can make decent drum and guitar tracks.

If anyone has any ideas for a GMC collaboration start putting your ideas here by recording some guitar tracks or drum or bass parts, or even a guitar pro track. I think it would be cool if we could get something started here

If we did a collaboration of music ideas through Guitar Pro that might be more open to more members of GMC, I dont think that many of us have decent recording gear. Or they are like me, and have it, and it just isnt compatible with there computer sad.gif

Or both - part of the idea would be that he leader has the job of collating it all, so any kind of recorded mp3 or wav would be fine, it could all be put back together again no problem smile.gif

The GP is a very good idea though - maybe that would be a great way of getting the ideas down?

We could all put our idead on GP And have the instructors play and record them lol biggrin.gif

If we did the GP Thing, ive got tons of riffs and solos and stuff i could contribute, i think it would be fun.

Well, its Matt's thread, so lets sit back and let him figure out how he wants to do it smile.gif

Sounds like you will be popping up in a lot of these threrads with all the stuff you have ready to go - cool! Of course, you could start one of your own - and learn about recording while you are doing it !

well if thats the case, then putting ideas down in guitar pro would be easier and let more people place their ideas, but i still think recordings would be cool also for the people who can record. Sometimes i find guitar pro to sound a bit weird, especially with bends and vibrato.

Anyway, what kind of ideas do people have about recording, as in, what kind of song would you be interested in working on?

We have had the idea from a GMC Anthem somewhere, does anyone have any other ideas?

Guitar pro working is good before making a general recording. Because through all the changes that come in the process of composing it might be VERY VERY confusing with all the mp3 files.

@Matt: GP works good with bendings. I lso thought it sucks before i figured out how to make them sound just as i want them to. smile.gif

I totally agree - my idea is that the leader of the collaboration will have the responsibility to take any new MP3s recorded from members and put them in the mix, and post an updated mix. One person needs to be in charge of the process otherwise it will devolve into anarchy!

So Matt, this is your thread, what sort of ideas do you have?

Well the only really decent idea we have so far is the GMC Anthem.

I dont really have any specific ideas on what this song should sound like, seeing as it would represent such a great community, it would have to be a great song biggrin.gif . I am going to try work on some ideas but i dont think i will be able to come up with anything to great.
