Your music is good. Unless I'm mistaken your website allows one to play your entire tracks? This might not be such a good idea knowing that retail outlets where your music is for sale only give samples?

You might want to think about how far the line goes between giving things for free ("promotion") and the profits the promotion is intended to make. I found a good article about this by another artist once but can't find it sorry, but the jist of it was that when he didn't put all his stuff on Youtube he got 1000 views 3% of which converted to a sale (30 sales), whereas when he did use Youtube he got 100,000 views with a lower 1% conversion rate (1000 sales = more sales). I notice you don't have much of a youtube presence, and there are other places you can submit videos too.

For songs you do give for free in their entirety (in video form or otherwise), accepting donations (in the way many websites of all kinds do). I'd call it a "tip" though, just like busking but online e.g.: "If you enjoyed my music, please consider leaving a small tip, it would be much appreciated, go directly to the artist and keep me doing what I love and sharing it with the world". Make that as easy as possible, as close as you can get to the online version of someone reaching into their pocket and dropping some money into a guitar case (PayPal accounts for 91% market share for online payments).

You might want to find others in your genre (some have massive traffic), or magazine, and offer to do guest content for them, be that a short video / article tutorial, performance or whatever. Your songs are decent so I think you will inevitably find at least some requests you make will get a response. From the same group of other musicians you could also get professional endorsements, they might be able to articulate insights about your music that laymen can't. Use their quotes to market your music by putting them with the product description / editorial review section on retailers and your website, the bigger the name and the better the talent the better. Contrary to perceived fear the more intimidatingly talented ones can be good because they didn't get there by being jerks that like to split hairs, and so long as they don't put their name behind rubbish (and your music isn't rubbish) then the formula is pretty simple and should do OK for professional critique.

Your music is great! smile.gif Some quick tips on getting a bigger audience and sales.

1.)Exposure
2.)Exposure
3.)Exposure

Exposure is really the name of the game when you are starting out. Your biggest enemy is ANONYMITY! (E.G. people don't know you yet)

YOUTUBE is a great way to go. Also, try to collaborate with people on youtube who already have big following so you can get introduced to more folks!
