Hey all, I'm about to buy a new guitar and I'm starting to narrow down my options. I've heard great things about the Ibanez RG1570's and RG2550E's, so I'm wondering what others would do in my position. The only real complaints I've heard about the RG1570's involve the pickups. I myself do not know a whole lot about pickups, but from what I've read, most people decide to put DiMarzio Evolutions into their 1570's. My question is this: would it be smarter to buy a 1570 with additional pickups (which I am incapable - at this point - of installing), or just go with the 2550E and its stock pickups for about $150 more?

2500E - http://www.ibanez.co.jp/products/eg_page.p...&COLOR=CL01
neck pu DiMarzio® IBZ-N (H) neck pu
middle pu DiMarzio® IBZ-S (S) mid pu
bridge pu DiMarzio® IBZ-B (H) bridge pu

1570 - http://www.ibanez.co.jp/products/eg_page.p...3&AREA_ID=2
neck pu V7 (H) neck pu
middle pu S1 (S) mid pu
bridge pu V8 (H) bridge pu

Any suggestions are greatly appreciated biggrin.gif

Well I don;t think you could get 3 x DiMarzio for $150, so if they are want you want go dtraight for the 2550e would be my advice ...

I'd go for the 2550E. I've never seen 3 dimarizios for $150....And if you dont know how to install them, then you'd have to pay more money to get the pickups installed on the other guitar...So i'd just go for the 2550e.

Good luck!
