I can't dowload the track, could you please share a mp3 file to make it a smaller file?

Thanks!

Here is the last take from clapton meets knofler. I think i can practice it for about a week and then its ready for teh Rec zone, what do you think?

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9PY2LbauieA...eature=youtu.be

And here is my first take of the basic tapping:

Hi mate! Congrats on your great job!

The funk rhythm lesson is getting better but you still need to work hard on this one. You are closer, but not going smoothly with the rhythm, you tend to go a bit after the beat. Keep on practicing it over the original lesson.

The clapton/knofler lesson sounds nice! You can now focus on details as dynamics, vibrato and the sound of double stop licks. There are some little pitch issues that can be related to your guitar tuning or maybe fingers pressure. Take care of it.

Great to see you working on tapping. Be careful with timing and unwanted noises.

Hey man,

Is it ok to stop with the pop funk rhythm?
I'm not motivated any more for it and i think its better to learn the funk lesson you gave because its only one element of the pop funk rhythm.

yes mate, it's ok. If it doesn't make you happy, stop practicing it. You can get back to it in the future just to check how your rhythm improved.

And can we also start with improvisation?

I know some theory and also have a book about modes, but the problem is that i always go back to the same things.

Regarding improvisation, have you seen my improvisation course? LINK

We can use it as reference....

I looked to the improvisation course and its awesome!
I think its what i need.
Because normally i start with itand want to go to fast or stop at half an go doing other stuff.

Maybe i can start from week one and then after a week i post the improvisation with the backing with the techniques i learned and then move on to week 2?smile.gif

He man,

Here i have an improvisation based on the stuff you showed in the improvisation course week 1.
I tried only to use the things you learned and not more so i can focus on the theory you gave.
I just imrpovised 3 minutes long. Its not all good but its only to show you the progress and let you see how it works with me if i improvise without making lines before i play the track. I´ll wait for the advice and going further with week 2! smile.gif
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=E8Q2CbvJCII...eature=youtu.be

I also made a vid of the knofler meets clapton. I want to post that in the Rec zone, is that ok?

Thanks man!

Hi mate,

great to see you working hard! The improvisation video shows that you are getting familiar with the shapes, and all the stuff shared on week #1. I like the fact that you practice the exercises but you also try to create music with the different concepts. This is obviously a neverending journey but you have done and important first step. You are now ready to work on Week #2. I won't comment too much about specific playing because this part of the workout is more to get into the stuff... we have time to work on technique, phrasing and expressing details.

About the lesson, sure! Go for REC. It's a good take, but even if it weren't it's always good to share takes at REC. Your playing is good but there are some things related pitch and bending to work. Other instructors points of view will be really valuable. I'll comment there by the way.

Hey man,

Thanks. About the improvisation course i will keep on practicing.

About the clapton meets knofler. Which one is better do you think?
My very first take : https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=duJ-iYMxZAI

Or the latest? I put the latest on the Rec zone butalso listened to the other one and dont know which of the two i think is better.

I think that both are close but the new one is better. You are one step forward regarding vibrato, timing and bending.

Hi Tim,

Great job with these videos. You are working correctly on the improvisation tasks. The idea is to get familiar with the scale thanks to the use of triads, patterns and some other elements. Slowly you should try to make your soloing sound more musical, and your phrases more defined. I was thinking that you could always give a try to the Applied Theory assignments. You don't have to start with the current assignment, you can start from the beginning and share there your recordings.

BB king lesson is also on the right track. The main thing to improve on this take is the pitch and consistence of your bending technique. Other than that you are doing a good job, keep working hard.
