Hi Gab, here is the summary of the week.

Nirvana Made Easy: Here's the video at real speed, the tempo is pretty fast, I'm not yet totally comfortable. The transition with the bends is still a bit tricky but it starts to come.

Beginner Bending Workout: I've learned all the sections, this lesson is not as simple as it looks. I'm perfecting a few more details and I'll post a video next week.
30 Beginner Blues Riffs: I keep learning, I find this fantastic lesson, I think I have for some time before finishing it ohmy.gif

See you soon! biggrin.gif

Hi mate!

Great job! I think that you are very close with this lesson. You can play all the parts at tempo, and there are just a few details to fix here. The overall is really good!

The things that need attention are related to the articulation of different parts. For example the connection between low strings power chords, with the one on strings 3 and 4 (00:29). The bend at 00:53 is not precise, and the last phrase at 01:00 is not played with the right rhythm.

If I would grade this at REC, you'd have an 8, so this passed smoothly. Congrats!

Hi Gab!

Nirvana Made Easy: I always have a problem with the bend in unison, it is still not clean. I keep practicing until it goes clean. Can not record a video that I like. mad.gif
Beginner Bending Workout: Here is a video, there are still some details to correct, but I think to get to the end. smile.gif

30 Beginner Blues Riff: I'm progressing slowly but surely. cool.gif
Muse Goes Stoner: This is the next lesson I will be working on.

Here, and again thank you for your advice Gab! wink.gif
See you soon!

Hi mate, that's a great progress!

The things to adjust are very small, and are related to pitches. Some of the bends sound close, but are not reaching the correct pitch so you need to dedicate some more time to isolate each one and practice it using the approach of the first exercises of this video:

Hi Gab, Here are two videos for this week! biggrin.gif

Nirvana Made Easy: Here is the last video, I will post it to REC, I had a lot of difficulties to make correct takes wacko.gif

Muse Goes Stoner: Nice lesson, but difficult to find the right sound, if there are not too many problems I will also post it to REC.

Beginner Bending Workout: I continue to improve the accuracy of bends

Can you give me a new lesson to work? smile.gif
Thank you
See you soon!

Hi mate! Good job!

Your take on Nirvana style lesson is very good. The main thing that needs attention is the pitch of your bends. You need to adjust the pitch of your bending so I think that it could be a good idea to isolate these ones, play the target note, and then bend to it. Most of this bends are half note bends, so maybe that's where is your main problem.

Muse lesson is also on the way. The tone that you are using sounds more "metal" than the original lesson. The secret behind this lesson's tone is the use of a Fuzz pedal. If you don't have one, you can download any free fuzz emulation (check the Fuzz Blues Collab at the Practice Room to find some links). Your playing is not bad, but there is some more room to make this sound groovier and more connected with the backing's rhythm. While you keep on playing this one, you can also focus on improving vibrato, and dynamics.

Regarding working on a new lesson, what about this one?

Hi Gab, biggrin.gif
I do not have time to make videos right now, I have a lot of work.
I stopped working "Nirvana made easy" at the moment because I'm getting tired and my bend technique is not perfect yet wacko.gif .
I mainly work blues lessons as well as "Muse goes stoner" and Gary Clark Jr "
I would make a video soon
See you soon!
