> Rules

Here is where the magic happens: the REC board turns bedroom guitarists into real pros. Remember - it doesn't matter if you fail or pass, as long as you keep posting REC takes you will progress.

The entries will be graded by a number of instructors. After grading, members will be accredited with the appropriate points if they pass, and adjustments will be made to their REC level.
Passing grade is 6 or higher.

Hi mate,

I've compared this take with the previous and it's great to find many improvements. The first one is tone which is more enjoyable on this take. Besides that, the improvements are related to all the elements that I've marked in my previous comment. You look more comfortable with bending and vibrato, and your hands movements are getting better.

There is more room to improve each of those things but I'm amazed of how better this new take is.

Keep on the good job!

Those little ornament bends are improved here smile.gif Alos final lick sounds much better, be carefull with bending on the 6th string - you tend to go a little to high with the pitch. Aside from this you've also improved the timming and overall groove of the lesson. You know there are still details to fix but overall well done - very fast fix for the previous take smile.gif

Hi Tim, well done on your improvements. This does sound much better than your previous take.

Your bending is getting stronger. You still have issues with getting the correct pitch much of the time but that is to be expected anyway because bending takes a long time to master. Keep going with this.

Hand coordination is still an issue for you as well as sometimes the pick isn't hitting the strings when the fretting hand is moving to new notes. I also think the fretting hand isn't quite comfortable with faster phrases yet either so keep working on hand coordination too. Any phrases where you think you're missing notes - just keep working on them at a manageable tempo.
