Gab thank you so much for your feedback! I was busy with the collabs and was very short on time, so the takes were a little rushed, but I'll pay more attention to the details and have a retake! How long do you think I must dedicate to each lesson before a retake?

Hi George, I think that 1 take per week is a good number, what do you say?

Done Gab! Sounds good! In the next couple of days I will upload here a video of me playing the fast alternate picking part in Metal Essentials 3 that I had trouble with! Is this OK?

Hi Gab! It's Metal Essentials #3!
Here was my first REC take https://www.guitarmasterclass.net/guitar_fo...showtopic=59272

I just want a better result with all the RECs so I decided to work on the more difficult parts here and then go towards the REC.
So how is it compared to the previous take?

Hi George! Thanks for linking your previous take. It always helps me to give a more precise feedback.

The whole lesson sounds much more precise now. The slower parts, which were ok, are perfect now. The faster had sync and timing issues and now I just can note very small timing issues, but nothing very dramatic. The new take is a lot better than the previous one shared. It's a 8/9 at REC for me.

Thank you very much for everything Gab! I'll try to work on everything you pointed out as always and thank you very much for the guitar choice that you suggested! As for the takes, I want to start working on your new Judas Priest lesson as I have commented there! Do you think it is OK to have a break from the Alternate Picking lesson, because I am feeling a little bit of metally tired and work this new lesson which I am excited about?

Hi George! Yes! It's ok to go for that Judas lesson and give the AP lesson a rest if you are tired of it.

In order to keep your Alternate picking technique in shape, maybe you could dedicate 5/10 minutes to any repetitive technique exercise. I suggest one of these: https://www.guitarmasterclass.net/guitar_fo...showtopic=42831

Thanks Gab! So excited to start again! A question: how can I use a noise gate in Reaper so that I cut extra noise with the Legion (Le poulin plugin)?

Hi George!

The first thing that you can try is to check if your cable is not giving noise issues. If that's not the case, you can add a gate after or before your amp sim. This is a tutorial for reaper:

Great Gab! Thanks!!
Also, I am thinking of buying a new guitar and I would like your opinion on it! Also I will post it on the forum.
Here is the link
https://www.thomann.de/gr/lefthanded_guitar...Solar%20Guitars
I don't know what should I choose.
As you know I have a 7-string Schechter and I am very happy with it, as far as rhythm is concerned! But for soloing it has a really thin neck and it is not ideal. l would buy a & string again to tell the truth, but I am not sure! Which of those options are good?
Thanks Gab

Hi George! What's your budget?

Do you like Strat type? Super Strat? Les Paul?

Well I would like mostly standard type (Strat I guess), I want a guitar to focus on metalcore, djent, extreme metal, you know the kind of staff that I like.
My budget is anywhere between 500-1000 euros(similar to dollars), I am probably going to get it on installments.
From what was available I leaned more towards Ibanez, Solar, Schechter (that I already have) you know metal stuff...But I am open to suggestions. Also the site above is the only that ships to Greece without extra costs, so anything from there would be nice.
So what do you think?
