I always loved his solo in Lucky Man, the way it kicks in, its epic. Probably not the most complex solo he every played cool.gif but I started listening to the song purely to hear the end part, then the whole song kinda grew on me but its the keyboard that makes it smile.gif

I really can't believe how inactive this thread is.I know he's not a guitarist but he is a heroic musician.

Lucky Man always struck a chord with me.. That outro keyboard solo is genius.

He lived out here. In Santa Monica by the beach. He would play a lot at a local club called 'Typhoon'. Mostly jazz and fusion. Sometimes as a guest, sometimes with his own band.
In the last several years he suffered from nerve damage in one of his hands. He was losing the ability to play, especially at the level he was used to.
He shot himself in the head.

RIP Keith.

Evidently he had been having nerve damage/pain in one of his arms/hands and it was impacting his playing. So he was using a backup player some times at shows. This drove him nuts as he lived for being able to play music. I know it would be hard for me to lose my hands. I lost them for six months due to Carpal Tunnel Syndrome and almost lost my mind.
