> Rules

Here is where the magic happens: the REC board turns bedroom guitarists into real pros. Remember - it doesn't matter if you fail or pass, as long as you keep posting REC takes you will progress.

The entries will be graded by a number of instructors. After grading, members will be accredited with the appropriate points if they pass, and adjustments will be made to their REC level.
Passing grade is 6 or higher.

Hi mate,

this is a good take. You can play all the licks at tempo and tight with the backing. The next thing to improve on this one (and you overall playing) is Vibrato. This technique requires your attention and work since it's not regular and consistent yet. Sometimes it''s weak, other time irregular, while in other parts it's not appearing. So I recommend you to isolate licks again and try to emulate the instructor's vibrato.

Besides this, I'd like to add that your bending is good but there are a few that are not reaching the right pitch so pay attention to it too.

That's all by now mate, keep on the hard work!

Really good work, Tim. As Gabriel said you can still work on your vibrato yet to get it sounding stronger. With this kind of blues, the vibrato is quite fast and narrow so you really have to move the string back and forth quite quickly to get that effect.

Your bending is getting a lot better but with higher tempo licks it's hard to hear them as clearly as they should be. They have to be very direct and clear. This will improve naturally, though, as you do more of this smile.gif

Good work Tim!

You're really getting close to get that perfect blues mood. I like your tone match for this lesson. Your timing gets really tight and you got rid of some nasty niuanses like out of tune feel. Realyl smooth playing in here. Your vibrato needs some work but at the level you've presented here, it's already quite descent. Once again - great job on this one!
