Looks very cool! Let us know when she's finished. I'll have a brand new guitar myself in a couple days, hopefully.

Birdseyemaple for neck and rosewood for fingerboard.

Dude, I envy you smile.gif tongue.gif

Sick axe, it looks like the schecter c-1 classic

You should get the fretboard scalloped.

Lovely Muris,
and a big welcome to the custom built guitar club biggrin.gif .

Quick questions - is it a bolt on or glued in neck - and why? Also are you cutting away part of the heel profile for access to the top frets or not?

Like the scalloping - am I right that's its just the e.b and g strings from 21-24?

Lovely guitar and thanks for sharing the pictures of its construction.

Cheers,
Tony

Hey Tony

It's bolt on with really great link between body and neck, almost like one part.
Sustain is awesome. smile.gif
And yeah, form 21 to 24 I have scalloped frets, just to get better and easier vibrato.
At those frets strings are really nasty to have cool bend and add vibrato...
Thanks for your kind comment,it always great to hear from you!!

Sure you must be counting of the days/hours until its finished and in your hands Muris biggrin.gif . Nice about the scalloping I sort of regret not having done the same. Ah well...

I'm jealous I so want another guitar (but my wife is on to me dry.gif ).

Cheers,
Tony

The paint job, superb, how did you go about doing that? What paint, and then what finish do you put over it?

Who is your partner in crime?

That workshop looks fantastic! smile.gif

Oh I can't wait to build my first guitar! biggrin.gif

Thanks Kris, must throw it to you when it's done! smile.gif

Hemlok,my friend Mirza Kovacevic runs this custom shop so he's my partner in crime for this. wink.gif
I'm not so familiar with brands and types of colors and lacquers he's using, tho he has many of them.
As far as I know,we colored it with very easy orange/yellow,so it still has that nature look, not too much paint on it indeed.
Then we did burst and at the time we speak he's putting final lacquers and then goes polishing.
That's all I know,as I said before,I'm not really informed to this technique and job. sad.gif
