Hello Gabriel.
First of all, thank you for accepting me into your army. It makes me very happy.

- How many time have you been playing guitar?
I am 48 years old.
I played intensely for 15 to 24 years and I stopped
Then I played 36 to 38 years with a band and I stopped
Then, 43 to 46 years for my forum
I played very little last year, and I take seriously for two weeks at GMC.
So we can say that I have 14 years of guitar.

- Favorite guitarists, bands and musicians.
Gary Moore, Michael Schenker, Yngwie Malmsteen, Akira Takasaki (Loudness), Nuno Bettencourt, John Norum, Richie Sambora, Neal Schon.

- What are your goals guitar?
I want to learn musicality, precision, vocabulary, technique.

- How would you like to you see yourself in 5 years (related to music and guitar)?
I do not know. I just want to have fun playing. The guitar is my passion.

- How many time can you play guitar Each Day?
One hour when I work, between four and eight when I'm on vacation.

- Do you have experience playing live?
Yes, a little. I was playing in pubs when I was 18-20 on Sunday afternoon. Then I played once in 24 years in a room of 500 people, and then, once in 38 years before a lot of people with my last band.

- Which are your strong and weak point with guitar?
I think my guitar playing is expressive. However, I lack of musicality, precision, vocabulary and technique.

- What do you know about music theory?
Nothing

- Can you record videos of you playing?
Yes

- Share videos and audios here That Reflect your current playing.

In 2012 , I was able to play that

In 2014

Have a nice day

Hi Gabriel.

Yes. I am currently working on two lessons

https://www.guitarmasterclass.net/solo-guit...evels-beginner/

https://www.guitarmasterclass.net/ls/Beginn...ending-Workout/

For the first one, i can play it "correctly" if i don't use the switch like Marcus.

for the second, I have not yet learned all the riffs.

At the same time, I work exercises 1 to 4 of the Lesson Series by Todd Simpson :

https://www.guitarmasterclass.net/wiki/inde...0%9D_-_Lesson_1

Great! So the first assignment will be based on what you are working. Let me know if this sounds good for you:

ASSIGNMENT #1:

Goals:

- Improving your bending technique.
- Polishing Neoclassical solo

TASK 1:

- Work on this lesson: https://www.guitarmasterclass.net/ls/Beginn...ending-Workout/
- Practice it over the backing track, and dedicate some time to improvise your own phrases over the backing.

TASK 2:

- Polishing the bends and vibrato of the Neoclassical solo based on the comments received at the REC take.

Exam and deadline:

By August 1st you'll have to share 3 videos:

- A video playing beginner bending workout (4 coins)
- A video jamming over the backing track. (2 coins)
- A new take of the neoclassical solo (4 coins)

Each of this videos will be evaluated (check the coins value below). You need to get at least 7 coins to pass. If you pass, we can continue, if you don't you will have a second "call".

Hello Gabriel.

I have made two take.

Here is the first one i've played yesterday :

http://s4s.archive-host.com/membres/up/673...g_Workout_2.mp4

The second one i've played this morning :

http://ahp.li/9513eaae3ef402c235e5.mp4

I've made a very bad bend at 0:27. Sorry

I will continue to work this lesson because I'm not satisfied. I'll wait a bit because I hurt my fingertips

Hi Chris! Good job man! This is going really good. Most of the bends are reaching the correct pitch smoothly. This lesson is a great training for bending so it's ok if you continue practicing it and share a new take at the deadline date to then start working on new stuff.

Congrats on your great work! Keep going!

Hi Chris! Well done!! smile.gif

- The neoclassical take sounds really good! Your vibrato is consistent, as well as your timing, and tone is just perfect. There is a little wrong note at 00:37 but nothing really serious. I think that with the pass of time, your vibrato will feel more natural but this is very promising.

- The bending lesson take is also good. It's a more demanding lesson and I note that you are still not completely comfortable with some of those bends but it's on the right track.

Please share the 3 required videos for the first assignment in a post to let me give you the grading and start with the second assignment!

Based on your submits these are your results:

TASK 1: 3 + 1 coins

TASK 2: 3 coins

TOTAL: 7/10 coins.

I think that you did a very good job during this first stage. The bending lesson is the one that shows the more relevant progress on this first assignment.

Your improvisation sounds good. I like the fact that it's melodic and that phrases are consistent and defined. In this take I notice that your bending still needs work to become a natural thing since there are pitch issues that are related to the fact that you have to think on many things at the same time when improvising.

The neoclassical lesson sounds good. There are some little details like some vibrato that isn't regular, or some pitch issue but nothing really relevant.

Congratulations assignment 1 is passed!!

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

ASSIGNMENT #2:

Goals:

- Bending and vibrato work
- Building Speed

TASK 1:

- Work on this lesson: https://www.guitarmasterclass.net/ls/Yngwie-Style-Bending/
- Practice it over the backing track, and dedicate some time to improvise your own phrases over the backing.

TASK 2:

- Work on this lesson: Shred Journey - LESSON #9 - Building speed

Exam and deadline:

By August 12st you'll have to share 3 videos:

- A video playing Yngwie style lesson (4 coins)
- A video jamming over the backing track. (2 coins)
- A video practicing the lesson #9 over metronome (4 coins)

Each of this videos will be evaluated (check the coins value below). You need to get at least 7 coins to pass. If you pass, we can continue, if you don't you will have a second "call".

Wou! That goes really well man! The take has a very catchy feel and energy. This is going in the right direction. I don't see really relevant things to improve, just keep on playing it the next days.

Hello Gabriel.
Here is my works.

The first one is correct, i think :
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CKGRO44FrTc

The second one is horrible. I've play it every days a long time. I've really problems with it. I don't know how to take my pick. My wrist movement looks bad.
https://youtu.be/qi-sVU69cYk

The last one. I've played a one shot. So, there is some bad notes. I'm sorry.

I wait for your comments to progress.

Thanx for advance.
