I"ve never given this band much of a listen until now and now thatI have, I really dig it!! Some folks seem angry that it's "not really black metal". hmm.. Personally it doesn't sound anywhere near black metal and I think that's a good thing. I'm honestly getting tired of blast beats and growl/scream/growl in general. After a while all that starts to run together, like Techno. Just too predictable for me. It's all well and good, but I've probably just had my fill of it. Anyhoo, here it is. It's a Gal singing (yes actual singing of notes, requiring a pinch of actual talent, which is part of why I like it) and the music behind is sorta heavy, sorta smile.gif What do you guys think?

I like the stuff she does as Myrkur and the way she ( or Relapse) marketed her EP when it came out, all dark and mysterious, was really cool.
I try not to think about all her fashion model stuff, being the trve kvlt kid that I am tongue.gif

I had no idea she was a fashion model. But she is attractive so I guess it makes sense smile.gif One has to pay the bills somehow, after all. smile.gif

I"m digging her new stuff. Some of the older stuff is a bit too black metalish for me just cause I've heard blast beats/growl/screams for soooooooo long at this point that I'm getting a bit weary of it.

Holy Crap!!! She's so Girly!! smile.gif I guess it's fine as she a Girl and what not smile.gif But yeah I was almost expecting her to be all GRRRRRRR METAL!!! and such. smile.gif You are correct on the BM folks not being up for embracing such things. It's just not "Orthodox" enough. But then again, I'm generally against orthodoxy in all it's forms, whether musical or religious, philosophical, etc. I'd have never found this vid so thanks for sharing!

Yeah, I googled her. She's not my type of gal, and I didn't really like the music that much, but each to their own laugh.gif

I"m liking it more and more every time I hear it. So refreshing to see someone flaunting the orthodoxy of Black Metal these days IMHO. It's just started to take itself so seriouslly it seems. She is a very "Girly' girl to be sure smile.gif I was a bit taken aback at how girly she was, I almost expected Mrs. DEATH METAL chick, but hope. Again, going against the grain, which made me like her even more. smile.gif But like you say, to each their own smile.gif

It takes all kinds to fill up a Que for burgers/groceries/etc.

I thought it was great to see that she wasn't Mrs. Death Metal, but rather just some "normal" looking woman smile.gif

LOL! thats funny because I really hoped she WAS Mrs death Metal or preferably Miss Black Metal. I hoped she was living in a cabin in the middle of some Danish forest where she only ventured out on a winters night under a freezing moon.
real life can sucks balls wink.gif

Danish forests aren't really all that exciting to be honest.
