Looks great smile.gif Has a very "European Project Studio" Vibe to it. The color scheme looks clean and professional. Per your gear choices, you will own TONS of gear as you go, it's a good idea to always be trying new things even once you know what works smile.gif Otherwise, you find you get stuck in a bit of a rut and stop trying new things. Never heard of that brand of monitor so let us know how they go wink.gif

I've swapped some things around in my home studio and added four new Ibanez guitars to the mix as well which is way overboard, even for me. Probably sell a few but I wanted to have two models of each to compare (RGT and Xiphos variations). I've found that there are indeed subtle differences in the same model line, despite Ibanez saying the exact opposite. Anyhoo, here is my little studio as it sits now smile.gif

Hey Todd,

perfectly makes sense. I was in my local music store and took some consultancy. So for now I invested 150 bucks for a new audio interface and 350 bucks for two monitors which are really great!

Here's a pic:

[attachment=44918:20160729_211155.jpg]

I went with Steinberg UR 242, which is something very basic but it comes with some effects and Cubase for free.

For monitors I' ve tried lots, even the so famous KRK by Rokit, but finall I decided to go with Fluid Audio i14. Totally fell in love with the sound.

Right now Cubase is installing and Ill try to make a first rec with the new interface!

So excited, motivation above level 9000!

Most of the stock presets in GUITAR RIG are a bit crap. However, I have shared many of my personal presets which took countless hours to create in an effort to get rid of that lame buzz sound. They are all free to download in my guitar rig archive. The new version of Guitar RIg will take the previous version presets which is handy smile.gif

Once I found some decent tones, it was my FAVE plugin for years.

These are some goods advices. Will check if I can find good version for MAC and try out all of those.

I was not too pleased by the performance of Guitar rig when it comes to the bass notes and strong chords. It sounds kind of "buzzy". But this far I have only been experimenting with presets. Maybe need to find my own setup here.

Damn it. That sounds awesome. Only handicap that I still have: it's a demo version. So you cannot import any presets...

Will try yours as soon as I got full version on site! Thanks Todd!

Still way to go for me, but this looks amazing. I ll keep growing wink.gif But for now enjoy the basics. I would definitely like to add 1 or 2 more axes to my setup end of this year!

How many guitars are in your collection by now Todd?

Actually my Ibby fetish is worse than even that previous pictures suggests. Here is the entire family smile.gif Of course this is just the Ibanez guitars. The Deans and others are in cases as I don't have enough guitar stands. I try to keep it under a bakers dozen of guitars at this point.

The demo of guitar rig will get you started but you need the full version to be honest, for recording work. If you were going to buy a torpedo, guitar rig is cheap by comparison so there's that smile.gif

At least buying guitars is a proper addiction! wink.gif though I'd really like to come up with my own design and build it by myself. cool.gif

Rather be addicted to guitars than other things smile.gif

What would your own designed guitar look like? smile.gif

Still working on designing it. It will most likely look like a mix of telecaster shaped body made of maple and a Jackson soloist like fretboard and headstock. smile.gif And adding a tremolo to the tele body. Something similar to this, but as said change fretboard and head stock. Most probably I would have also picked another type of wood.

I started drawing. Maybe I will start a thread as soon as this project really kicks off! wink.gif Could you image such an axe? wink.gif

Sounds like a cool axe! You should definitely make a thread about it when you get that far smile.gif
