Hello folks,
Been meaning to post this since coming on holiday. I posted a track not long back for Todd's Saturday Shred Challenge and after a few seconds the guitar volume went quiet. I didn't know what it was but before we left for the airport I was having a play and the same thing happened. I looked at the amp head (Peavey Valveking 20) and the T1 light had gone to red. When I stopped playing it went back to green. This means the valve is failing. I'm using the four cable method with a Boss GT 100, I had set the patch to "send and return" and switched off the power amps in the patch (if you don't do that you can't use any amp controls except master vol). Ello folks,
The TSi lights are for the power tubes. Apparently there is a safety circuit to allow the amp to continue working on the remaining tube. Now if I need to change the valves would it be a chance to put different ones in for a different tonal range. Tube is ‘under current’: This could be due to incorrect bias, low current due to aging, open circuit due to structural/physical fault or missing filament heater supply. Tube has gone ‘over current’: In this case the resettable protection circuit will be switched on to protect against further damage and to allow the amplifier to carry on working with the remaining tube(s). This could be due to bias failure, over-heating of the tube or other fault condition resulting in excessive current draw. Reset: In some conditions, with an adequate gap in playing, the protection circuit will auto-reset and allow the tube to be turned back on. If the fault remains then the LED will stay red. In these situations, at a convenient point the amp should be turned off for a few minutes then back on again. If the fault is still there then the amp should be checked by a factory authorized technician for correct bias or faulty/ worn out tube(s). -------------------- SEE MY GMC CERTIFICATE “Success is not obtained overnight. I'll sort something out when i get back. They ship them anyway and I have the original packaging.

Sorry to hear
 I'm sure they can fix it for you or maybe ship you a new tube and you might be able to install it yourself. There are wads of youtube vids on tube swaps. But letting a pro do it is never a bad idea If you ever decide to to skip the tube head, wads of folks are raving about this little guy. Thanks Todd but i love this little baby, ugly though it is, loads of recording options with it.
I'll do some tests with the vari class settings and without any 4cm and also without speaker defeat. Cheers folks

It's got to go for repair
T1 came on solid red tonight and wouldn't go off even if I stopped playing, it did go off when I switched into standby and back on though but something isn't right.
