I always get shivers down my neck when I hear this man, his playing, his tone, everything, the guitar sounds like it's screaming for mercy at the hands of the diminutive man that is the legend, Mr Randy Rhoads. I had Blizzard and Diary on today in the car, I was TOTALLY in AWE of him.

If it wasn't for Eddie and Randy (and to some degree Alan Holdsworth and Al diMeola) we'd have no Satch or Vai or Govan, etc.

Rhoads was a supreme badass. Besides technique he had musicality with a capital 'M'. He also had sex and risk in his playing - the soul of rock and roll.

Blizzard is a brilliant album. His solos and riffs are insane.

The live Tribute album is incredible. His tone is torturous, in a good way. He was on another level.

It's always great to get back to classics. It makes us remember why they are so respected and influential. Randy was pure magic, pure energy, with a perfect mix of perfection and rock spirit.

For those that want to give it a go. It would be great for one of our members or instructors to post a video of themselves playing this. I think I'll sit this one out though laugh.gif
