If you think about it, when you piss of a ghost, all he does is moves things around, open and close doors, and play with your camera, Basically he does what any 6 year old would do, maybe he should take your car out for a joy ride and bring it back with a horrible new paint job, THAT would be weird.

lol it would be even weirder for the people working at the shop when a ghost asks them to repaint it purple with a blue elephant doing heroine on the hood

Well that video gave me a good laugh so thanks for that biggrin.gif

I really liked the flying underwear!!! rolleyes.gif laugh.gif wink.gif

laugh.gif it "flew" as if it was stringed up... almost rolleyes.gif

Sure is fun to watch. When I was a teenager I lived in the basement of our house. I was kind of beliving all of these things, which I belive also makes it easier to see and be convinced. But one time in the middle of the night I went to the bathroom, which was right outside my bed room, in the basement too i.e.
When I opened my bedroom door, well first off it's like this, I always used to turn on the light in my room since it was quite a bit to the switch for the light in the hallway. Past the bathroom to be exact and at age 13-14 I wasn't very keen on walking in a pitch dark spooky hallway with a couple of doors on each side.
So, the light in my room was turned on and I opened the door and I saw the bathroom door closing. It went from full open (like if you imagine it being 90 degrees open, not a full 180 degrees) to closed, not shut but you know like if you give the door a push and it slowly goes almost shut.
Well, I found it spooky but I figured my brother went from upstairs to the toilet downstairs and just gave the door a swing before disappearing through the third door that led to the staiway.

I'll finish the story in a second, I just want to add that when living there in the basement, this occured some 25 years ago now, I remember having terrible nightmares - or if it was something I senced when being half asleep and half awake - about figures sitting next to my bed or sounds from outside my wall. But as soon as I woke up or what I did and turned on the light beside my bed all disappeared. All that was left was sheets that were wet from cold sweat and my body was all sweaty and I was freezing.

End of this story that I still don't know the answer to is that next morning during breakfast I asked who went to the basement toiled, the reply didn't make me feel very sequre since noone had been there...

Later in age between 18-25 something I used to take a rest during daytime and maybe once a year or so I had these wierd experiences. I think there's a name for it, for this state of body and mind, but I can't remember what it is. Maybe someone else know when I tell how I felt.
Taking a rest but suddenly feeling awake, I could sence some precense in the room, hostile, trying to call out but I can't. Trying to get up but I can't move a muscle. It's like the only things working is heart beating and I'm breating. But I can't move and I can't speak, not even whisper but I'm fully aware of my surroundings, and this presumable hostile presence.
After what seem to be forever this state loosen up and I can so to say "wake up" like normal and move and speak. By at this time the precense is gone already.

Beeing a teenager living in the basement feeling scared had it's charm, so did the "wake" state but now it's been ages. It certainly was great for ones imagination if it had nothing else positive. Oh, and I watched a lot of scary movies as a teenager about ghosts and zombies etc and I belive that helped laugh.gif

Anyway, now a days I can appreciate scary movies like "the grudge" and "ringu", I lost interest for splatter movies like "feast" f.ex but still enjoy zombie flicks a lot, not so scary though as they used to be laugh.gif
The real world and all the bad things going on there is more scary than fiction and that could be part of the problem, it's killing ones imagination.

Creep up on me from behind and should BOH and I might jump. Should apreciate those moments I guess.

Recently, like 10 years ago, I lived in a 200 sqm old house all by myself. Far out by the country side, the house had lots of history (our family house) where the older part of the house was built in like 1650 and the newer part in 1810 or so. Very old, all the possibilities to be a haunted house but I guess I was too grown up since nothing scared me there. sad.gif
A funny thing happend once though. Me and a friend were rehearsing there before a trip abroad to perform (with MIDI backup). During a break we went up to the attic and looked through all the old stuff. My buddy found an old cain and started to fool around walking like old and crippled, fast cain walking and other fun stuff. The day after when he woke up his right foot was all swollen and he couldn't stand on it. I had to drive him to the hospital and the got support for the foot and crutches and was disabled for two weeks.
Never happened to him before, and up til today never again. I have learned one thing and that is to not trust random occurances. Fooling around with a cain, day after a swollen foot, of course it was the owner of the cain watching and not appreciating the joke with funny walking and had his revenge by putting my friend on crutches.

I guess it's healthy to keep an open mind laugh.gif

lol, laugh.gif . Im not sure if you noticed the Jesus picture after the flying underwear fell to the ground. If not, check out again.

To MickeM:

Thats an interesting story MickeM. Most of the time, when i go to sleep i "feel" a pressence, cracks everywhere, footsteps, "stuff" and a "presence" sitting next to me..Watching my sleep...or my awake. Sometimes when im dreaming, i see myself from the ceiling..sleeping..and stuff around my room. But it must be my imagination unsure.gif . The Mind is a very powerful thing you know.

One of the things I love about having a 7 year old daughter is that she really wants to believe in fairies, ghosts, talkiing animals, microserf software that works (ok not that - too far fetched)... She sort of is part way between the mundane and fantasy. She believes in the toothe fairy, father christmas and still recites her times tables etc...

In some ways I think part of the magic of being a child is that essentiality icon belief, she doesn't want proof albeit she'd be very upset if the tooth fairy forgot... Bit from the bible, paraphrasing heavily and misquoting is 'as a child we see the world in colour but as an adult through a glass darkly'...

Having said that I've spent decades as a research scientist (albeit to rather question later on) and so struggle constantly with paranormal arguments. However maybe we all need a bit more colour...

Or maybe the lizards have come for me again with that hose pipe unsure.gif .

Cheers,
Tony

I know exactly what this is! It's sleep paralysis, I used to induce lucid dreaming and this was common. Sleep Paralysis is something we all go through but don't realize it, it's our body's own way of protecting ourselves from acting out a dream in real life. What you felt, was probably Sleep Paralysis with a mild case of Old Hag (I say mild because you didn't actually see any figures).

It's really a terrifying state if you dont know what it is, you cant move, speak, or do anything but look.

If anyone is interested, www.ld4all.com is a great site for this kinda stuff.

I've got a scary story of my own though. A few years back, my entire family was in New Hampshire (I'm in NY) visiting my grandparents, and I was alone in the house. About the time I was falling asleep, I had a few things in front of my door to keep it closed so I could see the tv, as the lock was removed and the hinges would sometimes ease it open, though putting anything in front of it would stop it. To give you a better idea:

___________
| TV
|
|Door
|
|Bed
---------------

So I have my skateboards, a water jug (with lots of change in it), and a box of my old PS1 games in front of the door. As I'm slowly falling asleep watching Leno, the door opens fully, scaring me so badly I hid under my sheets. There was at least 25 pounds of weight holding the door closed, and I was alone for the past 2 days. I woke up the next morning and wouldn't get out from under my covers.

Four days later, still alone, at midnight, I heard a "GAHHR" sound coming from my living room. I knew nobody with this voice, and dove under to covers once again.

Until I moved, every time I was at my computer desk, every five minutes I would get some odd feeling to turn around and look at the door, and see a dark shadow disappear.

Thanks! I will check it up. If I remember well I more felt a precense than actually saw it. This precense was usualy in the corner of my eye and not a very clear figure (and in this state I couldn't turn my head). But to me it was very real and it was dangerous. I was struggeling to get up and fight, rather with a weapon of some sort since I was convinced this situation was for life or death.
So if it was some sort of state of protecting my surroundings it was probably good, and there for a reason.

I'm happy you knew what I was talking about, now I'm off to read up on it smile.gif

In regards to your story. Isn't it strange how sheets and pillows can protect you and make you feel a bit safer?

Amazing story Ayen, thanks for sharing. And yes ive heard of Sleep Paralysis, and i know some Asians, (not sure if the japaneese) have a different name to it and slightly a different and more mythical meaning: The Sleep Paralysis is supposed to be caused by an evil spirit that wont let you move, open your mouth and you can only move your eyes. Pretty much the same thing imo.
