Very Impressive indeed! There are quite few gals on youtube who are just amazing players. They are quickly becoming more and more known. Gals like Yvette Young and Sarah Longfield, both of whom are strandberg players.

Here is Yvette smile.gif

Here is Sarah

Hell yeah!!Right on Bleez! I am glad that you posted Monica's recent rec take. I saw it the other day and wanted to comment about it in the rec section but decided that maybe I shouldn't because I haven't seen anyone other than the instructors who are doing the grading comment there.
But there is nothing to hold me back now. Yo Monica, You rock!! cool.gif Derek has created a monster, but he couldn't have done it without such a dedicated student such as yourself. You playing has improved by leaps and bounds since you have teamed up with him and that is a testament both to his teaching skills and your dedication to mastering your instrument. Well done Monica and Derek! You both should be very proud!

Wow...thank you very much Rich for your awesome words! It means a lot to me smile.gif
Darek is a truly brilliant instructor and I'm happy because we succeeded to build a solid team throughout the years. We worked at this lesson 7 months and believe me the hybrid picking and sweep techniques were a nightmare. Until I understood how I must play these, I managed to fail such an impressive number of takes that I should be mentioned in The Guinness Book of Records biggrin.gif
Anyway, the most important thing is the fact that in the end we finished this lesson and we are satisfied with the result. It's a success for both of us.

Awesome! Nice tone, and listening to those tracks made me want to steal some lick's, but it also reminded me how of much I need to work on that wicked slide/vibrato cool.gif It's funny how we don't see her face until the end of the second vid and then she is all smiles. smile.gif

She is pretty darn amazing! Reminds me in bits of Guthrie and Eric Johnson. Very cool style mixing blues/jazz/rock lead bits all in to one cogent thing and keeping it musical.
