Hi Gene, thanks for taking the time to record a solo for this one.

I think that the tone you are getting by using your left hand fingers is really warm and tasty. At the same time it sounds fresh and fits good with the backing track.

Feel free to share a new solo with pick, but this one sounds good! Remember to share the only guitar files.

I broke out Protools to check it out. I have an old version that the GUI doesn't exactly work right with the newer OS, but I figured I'd fool around with it rather than use Ableton. Played with a pick but really tried to make my attack sound the same. Anyway, the vibe isn't much different.

I downloaded the free Protools First and gave it another go for practice. I felt the guitar was a bit dark on the last take so I added a little post EQ and pushed the upper end a little. It's all in the same melodic idea as the last two but maybe a little more together perhaps. Dunno. Maybe not.

Guitar Only file of last take.

Nice playing! and very enjoyable tone man. I like your sustained lead sound, it goes really well with the backing. Thanks!

Great takes Gene and Mister M.

Gene, your take reminds me of Satch without sounding like copying him. Nice one wink.gif

I appreciate the comments. Thanks a lot. I meant to comment yesterday, but ran out of time fiddlin with Protools.

Mister M, your take is cool and smooth. Something I'll have to sit down and follow along to see how you connected the phrases to the underlying chords. I haven't completely listened to the vocals yet but your lines leave space to weave in and out of Cael's voice and add counterpoint.

Phil66. I meant to comment a while back somewhere else but didn't get around to it. I can hear a difference in your playing over the time I've been around. Keep it up. The practice is paying off.

Thanks bleez. Comments from a jammin dude like you always mean a lot.

Awesome! I love the new lines added in the end. I think that your phrases there give the part more emotion and as Gene said, it seems that this ideas can work great with the vocals. Well done.

Here are a few files, Gabriel. The lighting and synchronization is not the best, but let me know if they can be worked with smile.gif

https://www.dropbox.com/s/avjopg48qg5b93z/H...%20end.wmv?dl=0 - High Chorus Voice.

Oops, one of the files was wrong, I think. So I just edited a link in my original post. I'll upload the vocal tracks in 5 minutes.

Here's a link to the vocals: https://www.dropbox.com/sh/usvy3nzu7l76bc3/...HUCWs1t7Va?dl=0

Let me know if they're usable.
