Just learned Holdsworth has passed on. Was a great influence to many players. I never listened that much to him, but I always liked his music and appreciated the talent.

How can this be? He just got a new custom guitar from Strandberg!!! I saw him in photos and he looked fine! This is awful. He was a truly inspired player. Music has suffered a great loss. sad.gif

That's indeed sad news ... my basic musical knowledge doesn't block me to recognize a genius human being! I still remember buying the Metal Fatigue album and not understanding his music. That was late 80ies. Really sad to see all these greats (Bowie, AH, Chuck, just to name a few) going away...
