How to typically spend Saturdays? Is it more practice, a holiday or both?

Here I've found a cool article for inspiration: 14 Things Successful People Do On Weekends

The only time I miss practise is when I'm not home.

Saturdays and Sundays my wife and I go out somewhere like a Riverside walk, a country village, the seaside, a stately home, anything that is relaxing, sometimes we call in somewhere for a meal on the way home, then I practice smile.gif

Success is not obtained overnight. It comes in instalments; you get a little bit today, a little bit tomorrow until the whole package is given out. The day you procrastinate, you lose that day's success.

My motivation and inspiration is somewhat so and so at the moment, and has been for a while, so I don't actually put much time into practicing. I need to start doing that.

For me its the same as any weekday. If I don't have work, I will probably be practicing.

Local music stores are the best on saturdays, specially if you make friendship with employees.

One gets to hear gear, all sorts of riffs, new music...I usually go before lounch or 1-2 hours before the store closes to avoid rush hours.

That's a nice plan. It's really good for our health and mind to relax and go out.

However, I can see at the Creativity Workout that you are composing a killer new piece.

That's really interesting. Which music stores do you have close? Any links?

I play more on Saturdays and Sundays. During the week can get busy for me and don't always have time to pick up the guitar everyday. I haven't practiced a lesson in probably over a year. I spend most of my time improvising to backing tracks or coming up with riffs and ideas over drum patterns, etc.
