Guitarists can stop buying or at least wishing guitar gear, so let's share here what's the last piece of guitar or music related gear that you've bought and how it affected your playing, practice, or happiness.
The last thing that I've got is a RME Babyface Pro interface. It definitely improved the overall quality of my audio system thanks to the high quality converters. I had a motu 828 in the past which was great but it broke down and never could be repaired. I've been using a M-audio fast track for 2 years until I could get this upgrade. I'm very happy with it. What about you? Last piece of guitar gear that you've bought? -------------------- My lessons

Line 6 Helix LT.
It's going to take time but I'm going to love it. I am sure it will match the Atomic for tones. I'm struggling to get a Vai FTLOG tone and a Jack White tone for the JW lesson. I managed on the Amplifire but I think I was lucky because the FTLOG tone was a preset and I found something close for the JW tone. I guess the last thing I really bought outright was my Baja Telecaster HERE because the LT was a panic trade in. I love that guitar like it is my own wife, it's almost organic, it's hard to explain but it still gives me butterflies in the stomach when I think about it. An EHX glove properly introduced me to low-gain soloing.

I love that guitar like it is my own wife, it's almost organic, it's hard to explain but it still gives me butterflies in the stomach when I think about it. Cheers Congrats on your new Helix! I know that it will bring lots of inspiration. Last year I went nuts on a buying spree just to try out gear and sell it back to ebay, I tried old units like the GNX2 and GNX1, the ART SGX, the digitech GENISIS the ART 80/80, etc. It was all great fun But not one of them was a keeper for me. My trusty GNX3 finally died which was sad, as it's honestly the best sounding multi fx with amp emulation that I"ve ever tried other than my 11 rack. So I guess I'd have to say, the 11 rack I'm still thrilled with it and it's handy software editing interface. That's a nice way to try stuff. That's not possible in Argentina. The try and send back doesn't work here. Well, it might not be a buying spree but since last summer I have bought: Gibson SG Standard HighPerf Fender American Std Stratocaster Harley Benton TE70 Focusrite Scarlett 6i6 + some Kemper profile packs, pick, straps etc. Before that I hadn't bought much except my Kemper for 6-7 years, so I guess it started to move with the Kemper... but slowly. Then I got the SG... slighty faster. Then the rest and now I'm here, trying to progress my playing. As for the Harley Benton - that's kind of an experiment. I read a lot about them, they got some review that said 'good for their price' so for 140 euros - why not? In the original state it's a really OK guitar for 140e. After I switched the pickups to Fender Texas Specials it transformed into a guitar that pick up to play almost as often as the other ones. Wou! Many great items mate! Congrats! Nothing sexy, just a DI switcher combo to use with two acoustic guitars ... http://www.radialeng.com/stagedirect.php Very nice pick. The newest pieces of gear I have acquired were purchased together. A Roland Quad Capture and a set of JBL LSR 305 monitors. Sadly I haven't yet had the opportunity to use them other than listening through the monitors which sound great. Getting a good pair of monitors is a very wise decision. Well done. An EHX glove properly introduced me to low-gain soloing. Nice. I haven't try it. -------------------- My lessons

Gotta say that is a VERY nice and flat response curve!! They have pretty much no low end but that's ok, speakers like this are really meant to see how your mix will "translate" to standard consumer devices. Folks used the "AURATONE" or as they were known the "HORROR TONE" speakers for this purpose for decades. I'd like to try a pair of these, thanks for the tip!
BTW the Auratone run $350 a pair!! They sound like crap, but they are meant to. It looks like the iloud run $300 a pair which I gotta say seems a bit high for plastic encased speakers. But then again, the "horror tones" run about the same money. https://www.sweetwater.com/store/detail/5CP...EmYGBoCM5rw_wcB iLoud Micro monitors.
