I know how you feel. Making drums is probably the most tedious thing in the world for me. You can do it in ABLETON.

Something that takes a full song and produces a drum midi track you can send to EZ Drummer? No, there isn't anything that can do that. The closest is probably Groove Extractor. But you'll need isolated drum tracks for that, and even then, don't expect the result to sound much like the original. A better approach would be to try to remove the guitar sound from the audio with something like Riffstation. If you can find a tab of the song with drums in Guitar Pro, you can export the drums midi to your DAW and apply a plugin (such as Superior Drummer 2 etc.), and with some editing have them sound pretty decent. I don't know if I misunderstood the question though.

It's not in Guitar Pro however I do have the midi opened for the past 2 days - everything on separate tracks at TabPro but there is no way to download the midi itself that I can find.

I have Addictive Trigger. It's nice, but it's a drum replacer which, unless I misunderstand, is not what you're looking for. For example, the way you use it is: if you don't like the snare the drummer in your band recorded, you send the isolated snare audio track through Addictive Trigger and it replaces it with a different snare sound. It doesn't work on full song mixes.

The video seemed to indicate it could analyze a given chunk of audio and pull out the drums, but maybe I misunderstood the vid I did find a vid just about pulling midi out so you can use it with your own drumm software.Also, you can isolate nearly anything if you spring for the MELODYNE EDITOR. What I am hoping is that I can run it on all 4 of those, bass drum, snare, toms, cymbals and have 4 components - maybe more depending on Addictive Trigger. Then tweak from there. The stripped down version built within Logic does a great job at velocity. The good news is my friend here at work already owns the program. He creates sound FX to give away and sell, he also mixes - and he said he had Addictive Trigger and never knew what it was for.
