I finally got my hands on one of the rare prestige models I've been hunting forever. They rarely show up in the wild for some reason so I was stoked to bag this one when I could. I've seen it go a year without one of these on offer It's the same one BEN has and I still remember us talking about him getting it. It had to travel across Europe to find him as mine had come cross country to find me.

I put a pair of Yngwie .8 strings on it and lowered the action to the floor and it still doesn't buzz. Neck is straight as an arrow and the axe looks brand new. Like it's "new old stock" or something. I never thought I'd get one in this good of shape. Then I set it up and played it.

Oh. My. GAWD!!!!!

How I have lived this long without this axe I don't know. Bury me with it and I'll be happy smile.gif It's this guy

This is a pic from NAMM the year they were released in 2009. So these are about a decade old at this point. Can't believe how great shape it's in. The list price was $2,000 back then. Ouch

IT's got the "Miracle Neck" 17mm @ the nut that plays itself, so I'm just along for the ride smile.gif

Congrats!

I don't know why a few years ago they were so common in the used market where I lived, I even convinced 2 sellers to pull back from selling as its such a nice guitar. Also review the PU's smile.gif

They used to be way more common, about a decade later, much harder to find.

Congrats man! smile.gif

At the beginning of my guitar adventure I was dreaming of Paul Gilbert's Red Ibanez with 3 white humubckers - the one from intense rock 2. But...back then I would never thought I would become more of a strat-guy tongue.gif
