Today I'm working a bit on improving the settings I like to use for Superior Drummer 2 with Progressive Foundry SDX addon.

This is what I have so far:

I'm aiming to get something similar to Tesseract's drum sound:

How can I get nearer that? smile.gif

Hi mate, you are not far at all. I think that there is some EQ work to do in order to get closer. There is a difference in the low end of your kick and the song, yours has less and more kick. Your snare is lacking some attack / presence compared to Teseract's. I usually use this plug in when I' lacking that attack in my snare: https://www.plugin-alliance.com/en/products...igner_plus.html

Another difference is related to the use of reverb. Tesseract's track seems to be using a more trebly and longer rev for snare (possibly Plate type), and a warmer one a bit shorter for the whole thing except kick that hasn't reverb.

I'm with Gabe. He pretty much nailed it IMHO. You are quite close, but try the plate reverb on the snare with a bit more treble in the tail, and a bit more attack via compressor or enhancer, etc. You can use various parts of OZONE for this type of work by sending the entire drum bus to ozone or using only parts of ozone on individual instruments eg. snare and kick.

BTW share with us what you are using for drums? Nice samples smile.gif
