I've found Loudwire music awards and I'm curious to know who you'd vote as the best guitarist (s):

Tosin Abasi. Animals As Leaders
Synyster Gates & Zacky Vengeance, Avenged Sevenfold
Brent Hinds & Bill Kelliher, Mastodon
Dave Mustaine & Kiko Loureiro – Megadeth
Mark Tremonti, Alter Bridge
Zakk Wylde, Ozzy Osbourne/Zakk Sabbath

I know their music can be somehow hard to get to some times, but my vote goes for Tosin.
Kiko Loureiro would probably be the one I would also give a consideration from among the named in the list

In his heyday, the best guitarist to grace the earth ever is Steve Howe of Yes.
He can play any style, play it brilliantly, live, standing up, while singing background vocals.

from that list the ones I like listening to the most are Hinds and Kelliher so they would get my vote. They write best music ( imo ) than the others.
wont be shocked if Tosin wins though, that dude is incredible.

Is there any solo album or guitar work that you recomend me? I've heard Yes in the past but never get too much into Howe.

Start with "The Yes Album" ... https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Yes_Album

Watch the entire vid. Check out how many styles of guitar playing he references just in this one cool song. Also keep in mind he's playing a full depth hollow body jazz guitar (Gibson 175) at rock concert volume. And standing/moving around and singing ... and he wrote it.

I guess the teen girls will go for Syn and he'll win that award. They might even think: who is this guy named zacky?
