Europeans call them "Plectrums", we call em "Picks". Here the BULB himself talks Picks, tone, producing Animals as Leaders by accident, starting out being a drummer ( I started as a drummer after my guitar instructor told my parents I was "unteachable", as well so I can relate) He goes in to a lot of issues in this interview including using a boost pedal in conjuction with an AXE FX ( I finally found that I can skip my boost pedal by using a paremetric EQ as the first thing in my signal chain in my 11 Rack, and the AXE FX being built for "Cork Sniffers" not Metal Guys, so it's a long one but a good watch smile.gif

Most people I know here in the UK call them Picks, the only people I know that call them plectrums are music teachers (school) and classical guitarists wink.gif

Interesting video Todd, thanks for sharing smile.gif

Happy to share smile.gif This one came up in my suggested list on youtube. Gabe and I were talking about that very thing in another thread. I'm glad I get suggested vids that are more than 2 minutes! For a long time all my vids in the suggestion box were about 2 minutes longs. I know that's the typically youtube vid and all, but I get tired of switching vids that frequently especially when I find one on something I want to hear more about, its over before it starts. This one really digs in which is rare for a youtube interview by and large. I'm hopefull that it's changing a bit and longer interviews are becoming more common on youtube smile.gif

Good Pull!! Very cool video and nearly an hour long!! I love longer vids with folks that I have great respect for, I really want to hear what they think about various stuff and the really short 3 minute vids just don't do it for me anymore. This is a great vid done by the very spiff folks @ Andertons in the UK. Chappers himself is from that bunch. Thanks for the share!
**MISHA brings up a GREAT point in this vid. One that all the instructors have made repeatedly here in the forums. Sadly, there is no such things as a "BEST" guitar, "BEST" amp. It's a quest. Like searching for the grail. The quest changes as you change along with it. So it's never ending as we are always changing. As we learn, we just get better at "Questing" smile.gif
