Hi guys! I was watching PG Intense Rock intro and I though that it could be a good idea mostly for newer GMCers to refresh which were the clinics that helped and inpired me the most when I was a teenager. In those days, it was a impossble mission to get them at my city, now you can find everything at youtube.

Here we go:

This was the first REH Vid that I bought. If memory serves I think it was one of the first ones they released.

I remember seeing a PG video where he is talking about rhythm in solos, he'd tap out a rhythm on his legs and then play single notes matching the rhythm. It was a great approach but I can't find it at the moment.

Cool one! I haven't seen this one. If I'm not wrong, he produced all the other clinics, didn't he?

Yeah, pretty much. He was one of the main Instructors at Berklee(?) and was one of the first to realise the importance of using video as a teaching format!

Many favorites of mine in this thread - Marty, Yngwie, Gilbert, Petrucci etc

I 'd also like to add Eric Johnson's "Total Electric Guitar" - which probably my favorite of all time with Marty's.

That one is killer! But unfortunately I discovered it much later. The same happened with the one by Scott Henderson which is brilliant.

Ah! You mean the delay + volume swells trick! It's so cool. smile.gif

I've just remembered that I also discovered and learnt this one, which took my atention because Petrucci said that Morse was one of his biggest influences.

Thank you Matthieu for sharing

Patrick Rondat is a great french guitarist.
He is self-taught, he is very humble.

Good one Jonesey! I think this is the first one I bought as well. I also have a book from him titled Artful Arpeggios. I like and have the ones with Paul Gilbert that Gabriel listed as well. Here is another good one with Greg Howe.
Excellent post Gabriel! cool.gif

Yeah the Shawn Lane video is really good - at that time he seemed extremely focused on the music but still had chops like no one. Powers of 10 might my favorite fusion album.
