> Rules

Here is where the magic happens: the REC board turns bedroom guitarists into real pros. Remember - it doesn't matter if you fail or pass, as long as you keep posting REC takes you will progress.

The entries will be graded by a number of instructors. After grading, members will be accredited with the appropriate points if they pass, and adjustments will be made to their REC level.
Passing grade is 6 or higher.

Original lesson: Blues Lines by Sinisa Cekic

Hi evrybody

I work this lesson since several month.
It's very difficult to play as Siniza.
his bends and vibratos are very expressive.

The final phrasings are very fast, I can't do better for the moment.
I give the best of myself

Very nice! And I am digging your tone here - sounds really organic and midrange focused. Yummi!

As usual I think you have the lesson pretty much down.

You could be a bit more convincing/secure/aggressive in the faster runs. The last run Sinisa obviously executes with picking - and I adjusted the lesson difficulty level from 5 to 6, to reflect this.

I agree that Sinisa bending here is special, sounds a bit like pedal steel guitar

My main critique - as always with you - is that you have great technique + control. So what we want to see from you is the rock n roll part. In other words I think the biggest improvement in your performances would be if you could find a state of mind where you really dig into the music - just like a performing artist on a live gig.

You get an 8 from me! Keep up the killer work!

Hi MisterM!

I'm here just for grading since we are already working on this lesson at the mentoring program. It's cool to see that Kris comments confirm what we've been talking there.

Keep on the hard work!

I know what is the point of Kriss suggestion but at the same time I know how hard is to get that kind of freedom while playing. You really need to have the lesson mastered at 200% to be able to focus on the mood and feel itself. At the same time I'm not afraid about you - You instantly boost not only your precision but the groove itself as well. This take of yours is much more relaxed and fluent than many of your previous takes. We generally start to speak of very subjective details and personal taste. Final runs are quite flexible timing-wise. I understand you can have some problems trying to master them exactly the way Sinisa does.
