Here is where the magic happens: the REC board turns bedroom guitarists into real pros. Remember - it doesn't matter if you fail or pass, as long as you keep posting REC takes you will progress.
The entries will be graded by a number of instructors. After grading, members will be accredited with the appropriate points if they pass, and adjustments will be made to their REC level.
Passing grade is 6 or higher.

Hi mate!
This is a great lesson to train your AP technique. From what I can see here, your motion is good for both hands, but you need more days of practice to put both hand on sync, and to be able to keep the speed along the whole lesson. The first thing (hand sync) is achieved by working at slower tempos, and dividing the lesson in smaller blocks to connect both hands better. You don't look comfortable at this tempo, it seems that you have a "running" feel while playing and it doesn't help to put your focus on making both hands stay in sync. Once you make both hands going toghether with presicion, the following stage is to be able to keep perfection along the whole lesson. This is a long lesson, and requires continuos alternate picking playing, so it's normal to feel your hands tired when you are reaching the half of it. The more you practice, the more comfortable you'll feel, but remember to work on hands sync first. That's all by now, keep on the hard work! I'll wait for a new take, if possible in 7 days. Speed of this one can be tricky. It's medium for the right hand but the left hand shapes are a little more tircky. It was dedicted for this purpose - the purpose of working out your hands sync. The hardest part is to keep your right hand relaxed (in this tempo it's possible). General issue of people learning speed playiing is a tendecy to tense up while trying to increase the speed. The reality is totally opposite. Try to first play things very soft but in sync. Once you feel comfortable with the speed and left hand position shifts, you then start to see how you can manage your strength to boost the performance of your picking. Not the opposite. Tension and bad strength managment is an enemy of even best alternate"pickers". Simple example is when you tense before a live concert. Soemtimes if you can fight it, you fail even some of the stuff that has always been easy for you....at home. That's where you need to focus now.|
