I can't quite get the tapping in the beginning exactly right, but here's a shot at it. I might upload another take later today or tomorrow, but if not you can go ahead and use this.

Gab,

So sorry, been bad times again and not here now until Jan 3rd. I've explained all in our mentoring thread. Roll on 2018. It would be great if you could use any of my earlier rhythm takes with a still. I know you like video but it's just not possible I'm afraid mate.

Cheers

Phil

Hey Phil! I'm so sorry! If you find a moment to shot a vid during the weekend, go for it! There is still time for it and I think that you deserve to be on this one!

Hello there!!!

I've been playing around with this backing track. Love it. Anyway, this is what I got so far:
https://soundcloud.com/adampolomski/colab

Maybe it will fit in the mix wink.gif
I'll try to record a video as well.

Happy Xmas everyone.

Hey Madfish! Please don't forget to allow downloads on this, and to share only guitar audio and video!

Thank you for your kind comments Gab, I'm leaving tomorrow and not back until Jan 3rd. I'm finishing sorting things for trip this evening. I don't think I'd manage to pay through that rhythm part without having a coughing attack but if I get chance I will try.

Cheers

OK,

I squeezed one in. Not good but the best I can get out tonight I'm afraid, kept the amethyst guitar as it reminds me of Vol4 wink.gif

NICE!! I like that tone too, is that your HELIX? Very cool wah and your solo fits the backing great. Sounds very SABBATH! You are showing a good bit of dexterity here and you don't look like you are tensing which is something that is very tough to get around sometimes. Great stuff!

Thank you Todd. It's the Helix I can't remember the full set up because I messed around with it just before. I I'm running one stock cab plus one IR which is a 2x12 with a 5150 speaker and a V30 I think but I can clarify when I get home. I was trying to get a general Iommi tone and style. Glad you like it.

Cheers

As promised Todd, here is the Helix set up. Guitar >> Fassel wah (I don't know what this is but I like it), >>Basic noise gate, threshold -48db, decay 500ms>>Scream 808 (Gain 4.3, Tone 5.5, Level 6.8) >> Vermin Distortion (Gain 4.0, Filter 5.0, Level 8.2) >> Parametric EQ (I can give full settings if req'd) >> Angl Metoer (Based on Engl Fireball 100) >> Engl XXL V30 4x12 (Stock cab) >> Special IR. It's a blend of a Marshall 412 loaded with 25 watt Celestion Greenbacks and an EVH 212 cab, I didn't split the signal as the patch I used as a base had one cab going into another, I just swapped out the second cab for this IR.

If anyone wants the patch and/or the IR I can send it. If you just want the IR you can get it HERE for all platforms, Kemper users have a separate file at the bottom of the page.

Hope this info is useful.

I'd say start a thread of HELIX patches with youtube vids to show what they sound like. We have many Helix folks so I"m sure others could contribute as well smile.gif

That's a good idea Todd. We could make the patch downloadable in the thread too. I though there was only me and Brian (yoncopin) that had Helix on here.

Fantastic work Sensible Jones!!! I think that this will be a new epic hit!!

I'm now back home so I'll start downloading everything so consider that this will be ready in some days. For all those that would like to join, you still have time. Please let me know that you'll record something for this one.

Thanks Gab, looking forward to hearing what you do with it!!
