To each his own. I'm sure these are fine instruments.

I think Gab. had a Tele with widerange humbuckers, I played a similar guitar to his and really liked it.

Story is after the PAF humbucker got popular, Fender hired Seth Lover to design for them. To my ears the note separation in chords are much better and can handle gain very well, I never understood why it didn't get popular and evolve like the PAF humbucker did.

Anyway, liking Tele's so much a tune-o-matic bridge could be interesting and might actually sound as big as a LP type guitar.

The wide range humbuckers are sort of popular here. A few boutique pkup winders make them and the Fender 72 reissue Tele Deluxe has been a big seller for years now. *They are bigger than standard HBs so they won't drop in to a guitar that isn't routed for them.

As for the 'leaked' new models. That Jaguar looks pretty cool!
Most of those models have been made at the custom shop at some point. Also, they are fairly common 'mods'. JM pkups in a Tele, Strat neck on a Jag (longer scale), Tele bridge pkup in a Strat, Filtertron pkups in a Tele, etc.

I'm really interested to see if the compound radius is going to trickle down to the more standard guitars or if they are going to withhold it for only the top end.
