Here is where the magic happens: the REC board turns bedroom guitarists into real pros. Remember - it doesn't matter if you fail or pass, as long as you keep posting REC takes you will progress.

The entries will be graded by a number of instructors. After grading, members will be accredited with the appropriate points if they pass, and adjustments will be made to their REC level.
Passing grade is 6 or higher.

Hi mate,

Great job here! I can't compare this one with the previous because it's deleted but from what I remember and checked in my comments, I can say that this new one shows improvements on each of the elements previously commented.

I can hear a better mix and tone, the pitch issues are a few on this new one, and I can note a nice use of dynamics. There are some moments, mostly the faster ones that sound a bit sloppy, so I would isolate these parts, for example the last passage of the lesson, to play the parts clean and clear.

Besides this, I would do some more work on each phrase, trying to adjust articulation, timing and other expressive details that will make the difference. For example, check the first phrase, compare your take and the original. There are differences regarding the type of vibrato, the use of palm muting for some notes, the lengh of the notes, and the rhythm. It's time to get deeper with this one. As I've said in my previous comment, this lesson seems to be endless, if you are not tired of playing it, go deeper!

Gab.-

Hey there!
Overall impression is that things has been polished but there are other things to capture you clever beast wink.gif You are not respecting frettting hand layouts - you actually play where you liek to instead of thinking why Deigo would use the same note on different string wink.gif You can capture yourself in the very first few bars smile.gif Around 0:14 you are using different fingering and different articulation. There are more like this. Please rethink what you are doing. Don't treat this as easier one because the speed is "affordable" and you can learn it by ear. The full sense of making phrasing and dynamics lessons is not to just copy the melody and play however you like. The purpose is to compy every single pick strokle direction and strenght, every lgato, slide and it's time and feel. When you pass on this you start to sound square and generally you miss the point of lessons like this. If you want to become a pro, you need to quickly start carring for these datials becasue techniqe can be acheived by almost everyone...but not every one becomes musican. You have a gift for sure and already some great tools in your hands...don't waste this by doing shortcuts....that's not what the GREAT GUYS do smile.gif

Darius is spot on here,

This lesson is really about sneaking in lots of cool details in between strong melody notes. By skipping Diegos fingering, slides etc you are not making it easy for yourself (not to say impossible!).

Nevertheless your take is definitely not without feel - but I will give a 6 here and encourage you to work more on these nuances.
