Here is where the magic happens: the REC board turns bedroom guitarists into real pros. Remember - it doesn't matter if you fail or pass, as long as you keep posting REC takes you will progress.

The entries will be graded by a number of instructors. After grading, members will be accredited with the appropriate points if they pass, and adjustments will be made to their REC level.
Passing grade is 6 or higher.

Cool!

I can sense you have worked on the mix as this one feels better! Please note there now seems to be a sync issue between audio and video.

As for the picking - it looks pretty good to me. Though it does seem Darius might have a more strict wrist movement whereas you are also sort of tilting/wobbling the forearm as well. For the sake of building a technique that translates to higher speeds - I would advise to look at this.

Also you do skip the actual alternate picking in some section - which is a definite "no no" in an alternate picking lesson etude.

There are some audible note misses, and I suspect you have a tuning/intonation problem with the G string.

I do think your technique is promising - though you need to give the details of this lesson more focus. You get a 6 from me.

Hey there!

Looks like you're aworking hard to boost your skills lately. That's something to be complimented for sure. Look...ther are too many spots where the picking direction is random. The whole trick about this lesson is to keep constant dowon/up picking pattern even when the tempo allows you to....generally play this with your feet. It was the purpose to give player enough time to focus on the essential motion mechanics. It's also trickier to play in time when there's such a long time distance between notes.

Things to be fixed in this take are:
- timiing
- hand sync
- muting unwanted noises (audiable in the middle of the take - low strings ringing slightly)
- picking direction - as mentioned in the longer description.

Allthough this lesson is any easy one...is requiers lots of focus to avoid issues above. Remember....in case of "master" skill levels it is always about details...so don't try to skip things ,,,because your loosing the general profit of this simple lesson.

Hi mate!

I can see that Darius has already done a list with the elements that need to be improved from here. The lesson seems easy, but it can be really tricky to play tight at this tempo without losing concentration. You are very close here mosty the random picking direction and your timing need to be improved here.

Keep on the hard work friend!
