I've been looking for a second camera to add to my setup and I wanted
1.)USB Streaming: It has to function like a web cam over usb. I just want to plug it in and set it as the device for whatever software I"m using. Some free software like OBS will let you capture multiple cameras at once which is how folks make those great vids with more than one camera angle in them.

2.)Full HD: 2k/4k is great and all but I don't work at those resolutions. I work mostly in 1080p which is standard High Definition Video. So it's gotta do HD/1080p
3.)Sony Image Sensor: The reason most web cams look a bit crap is that they don't use real glass for the lense (it's plastic) and they use a crap sensor for the image. So I wanted a Sony sensor as they make good ones.
4.)Gyro Stabilization: Shaky cam makes me ill so it's gotta have stabilization.
6.)UNDER $50!!!!: I'm working within a budget here so I can spend money on important things like plugins!!!

I"ve been searching for a fit for these for quite some time. Little did I know, it was there all along. Yup!!! All that for under $50. As a BONUS it does killer SLOW MOTION so I can play full speed and slow it down to let folks see what's going on. What is this unicorn device? It's the

I just ordered one from Amazon and it should be here shortly. I"m stoked!! I didn't think I'd get all these features for this price. It's only $39!!!! Yup. That's not a typo. $39. Here are a couple of demo clips. One is slow motion one is time lapse to give you an idea on quality. It looked plenty good to me. Also it's compatible with ALL of the GO PRO mounts and bits!! I hit the ORDER button as soon as I found out it does web cam. It had better be Macintosh Compatible!!!! or it's going back. smile.gif

Just curious, doesn't Logitech use glass lenses? Seems to say that everywhere, not that I know, but of course, they are more expensive.

Very true! Many logitech cams have real glass. Not all, but many logitech web cams that is. many web cams are still just plastic. Also, few web cams have Sony HiDef image sensors though. For this price, I'm a bit shocked that these cameras have such a decent sensor at all. Not to mention that they will do 120fps slow mo and 2k+ resolution, have gyro stabilization, run on battery or usb power, etc. So it's really a go pro clone that also does web cam stuff.

Interesting smile.gif I might look into it as well, as I am gonna need an upgrade to my Logitech C525 at some point.

For the price it's really hard to beat. Unlike a web cam, it's able to work without a cable since it's really a go pro clone style cam. It can go up to 4k (sorta) though I never work beyond 1080p as that's what my main camera shoots in and on youtube I can't see much improvement beyond that, not to mention on a phone. Also, the slow motions feature is nice, and it does time lapse. Just packed with features and has a high quality image sensor. I never thought I'd see a camera of this quality for under $50 but here we are smile.gif

Another thing it has over most webcams is wide angle. I bet most of us struggle to get the best position when filming our guitar playing, often having to sit way back.

yup smile.gif It's a great camera for a crazy low price. It's a web cam, and an "action" cam. So it makes a handy guitar cam. Not to mention it can shoot HD and above HD and it does great slow motion as a bonus. I can't believe these have gotten this cheap but I'll take it!! smile.gif It's cheaper than a logitech web cam and can shoot up to 4k and do 120 fps slow motion!

lame!!! Its one of a series made by this vendor. They are all priced around the same and have similar features. This chip set and setup is becoming very common at this price point for a wad of builders. Any action cam with a sony sensor at this price point is probably pretty similar if not the same with different branding. I've found a lot of that.
