For those of you stuck using windows movie maker, I wanted to suggest DAVINCI. It's free. It's very powerful and it works on Macintosh and Windows. it won't run on a 10 year old machine, but if you have a machine built in the last 4 or 5 years, it should be fine. it's also got all the bits from LIGHTWAVE which got bought by these folks. It's the most flexible and powerful system out there and it's free for the basic version. Can't beat that.

Sounds interesting. Can you have two videos running next to each other in it, like for cover videos with multiple instruments?

I've been looking for an alternative to MM for a while but they're all to expensive for my needs and/or too complicated. Yes, good alternatve Todd.
I tried DaVinci for several weeks but my PC was not strong enough ... I ended up finding a less rich alternative but also very good and free. This is HitFilm Express (a pro version also exists but not free): https://fxhome.com/hitfilm-express But still prefer the choice of Todd if your PC is good. |

Sure

If you wander off to the other screens, it gets complicated. It's 6 programs in one. The editor is where you edit video. Well I've installed it, it looks a bit complex but there are help vids so I'll slowly learn to use it. I don't want it to take too much time.
Here is my speed test result. It doesn't mean anything to me though.

There is a small issue with it. It wouldn't show any mp4 files straight from my webcam but it would show the ones I'd saved from Movie Maker.
