I couldn't tell from the video, but is this like the ToneCloud in BiasFX where everyone can upload tones? Or is it only selected artists?

I noticed the gtr tracks were pre-clipped before the plug-in in this video. Not really into those tones but still interesting.

Seemed limited to selected artists to me (aside user saved stuff), atleast for now.

Yeah, that was what I gathered from the video as well. I think it would be a smart move to open it up to public upload of tones, but with some sort of search and sorting function. I have found some good tones in Bias' Tonecloud that sounded great with a bit of tinkering.

To my understanding there guys code presets not equipment. First profile with Kemper, then analyze that profile and code a sound that captures it.

This helps getting the profile sound more accurate, but downside is they won't sound well the more you make major changes with the knobs.

It seems like a similar approach to TOONTRACK EZMIX where it's all pretty much pre built and you just select a preset for the most part. However, this does seem to have more dials/controls than ez mix. In EZ MIX, the guitar tones only have two controls per preset. So it's very easy to use sorta like this. It's great for quick and dirty stuff. For really complex builds, something like OVERLOUD THU would probably be better, but sometimes it's just handy to click and go smile.gif
