Here is where the magic happens: the REC board turns bedroom guitarists into real pros. Remember - it doesn't matter if you fail or pass, as long as you keep posting REC takes you will progress.

The entries will be graded by a number of instructors. After grading, members will be accredited with the appropriate points if they pass, and adjustments will be made to their REC level.
Passing grade is 6 or higher.

However - there are too many hand sync / timing issues here. Especially right before there is a position or string shift coming up. This to me is a clear indication that you are practicing with mistakes. *It is absolutely mandatory that you practice at tempo where you do not make any mistakes.* Otherwise you will just be consolidating bad habits. I think you would quite easily be able to clean up your technique if you could just drop your practicing tempo to a pace where you are in total control. As you've been sharing your progress on this one at the mentoring program, I can say that you legato technique is improving a lot! There is still work to do in order to make the connections smoother, mostly in the second half where you have more notorious issues (for example at 00:25). Besides that, as I've said in the thread, I think that you should keep this one in your diary practice in order to feel more comfortable with the patterns and be able to play everything tighter, and with your hands more relaxed. I can see that your pinky is playing a big part here which is great to see. This piece seems easier on paper than it easy when actually played. I think you are on your way to being able to play this without any issues at all. Keep going with this one. Try to play it each time you practice if possible or every other time. No need to repeat what has been said before, but I do notice a bit of a hiccup when you traverse a string/fret at the same time. This is part of what makes this rec tricky. You have to prepare ahead of time for each new hand position and stick the landing just barely before the beat so that you can strike in time. It means it needs lots of strength to be made properly but of course when we use distortion it doesn't seems to be that hard. It is important to keep feeling that you actually are having these little "hammers" hammerign the frets and then you pull like you mean it. Watching your performance I have rather good thoughts - as Kris wrote - good hand shaping and rather relaxed, controlled motion. The trick is to achive some consistency in timing and strength managmenet, so you won't "overhat" too fast. In this video this was my impression.
