Hello guys.

I'm Proud to announce my first song release.
I worked on it for a Long time.
I first made the chorus and wrote the rest of the lyrics.
Then i composed it together with a friend who sings with me on the record.

Then after that when we knew how it supposed to be a friend recorded the bass and another friend the drums.
I mixed everything and let some one else master it. It is my second full song mix so it is not like you hear on mtv but im Proud However 🙂

Here the Spotify and youtube link:

Super congrats! That is just awesome. Love the horn section! This is a very cool track and it's well produced. It's great to see it going on spotify a well! Sharing music with the world can be a scary thing. I'm glad you took the plunge and put it out there! I hope to hear more!!

You can release singles and then once you have enough, you can compile it and then release it as an album as well.

congrats again man!

Todd

Thanks for your words Todd.
I have to say that the horn parts was the first thing i wrote from the song.
i was in my bed and was singing it so i went downstairs and looked for it on the guitar. then later on i searched the chords and made the rest smile.gif

What did you use for the horns? Can you give us a bit of insight in the production process for the song?

Yes, no problem smile.gif
For the horns i used native instruments session Horn and multi the horn track so i can use different articulation techniques. I want to go for session horns pro in the future because with that you can use differnet articulations with your keyboard so you dont have to multi the track in diferent parts.
Besides the session Horns i also have a friend who plays trumpet and trombone so he played it also and i panned the trumpets and the trombones both to an other side an that i blended smile.gif

i recorded the bass first myself but later on i let a friend play it with some fills also. I also had midi drums but had a friend played the drums for me but this was a challenga beacuase we didnt had overhead mics. So i doubled the other drum tracks where i didnt remove the spill and cut all the pieces except were the rides and cymbals were. Then i also used 2 samples which i copied at exactly the same time as the real drum.

The guitars i played with Bias Fx 2 elite and also the bass. The keys were also with native instruments which are included in komplete 12.

I used a lot of plugins. From t-racks and from native instruments. Some stock plugins from my ableton and some free plugins i had from advice from Mike Senior. (i read his book mixing in the small studio)

For the vocals i used a cheap mix but good enough for my sing skills wink.gif

I think this is the most smile.gif
