The fine folks at BOSS have introduced a new axe called the EURUS GS-1. It's got a built in synthesizer engine which you can control through a mobile phone app. This allows you to have a synth guitar and a regular guitar at the same time without adding any additional hardware. It's got two outputs, one for guitar and one for synth. There have been synth guitars before of course. This one looks like a standard guitar which I think is a plus smile.gif I do wonder how well it would play though? Here is the video from BOSS about it.

Maybe more interesting is the new wireless/bluetooh midi wah pedal that they just released. This pedal can work wireless or wired with just about any midi device or software application and works with the new BOSS synth guitar as well. Beyond working with the guitar, you could use it to control the wah effect in your favorite guitar plugin and even use it to control parameters on any mobile app that is compatible. So you could put a mobile phone on your pedal board and run Overloud mobile for example, and use this pedal to control volume, wah etc. This makes using a mobile device like a phone/tablet a bit more functional as now you add this to it and get wah or volume as you would have on a normal pedal board. Just add a blue tooth foot controller to do the channel switching and bam, you've got a full pedalboard setup based on a mobile device. I think we are going to see more and more of this type of setup as so many folks already have a phone. Just add some controllers and bam it's a full rig wink.gif What do you think?
