Thanks, I'm not so sure about doing it now that I've found that my desktop CPU isn't suitable.

Im sorry to hear gen 7 cpus are not supported. It seems a bit silly to be honest. I recently suffered the same fate. My entire machine is no longer supported on mac os.

As a bonus, AMD cpus (those that are compatible) are showing a 15% performance reduction on windows 11. So an entire swath of intel cpus are being declared obsolete, and AMD cpus get a performance penalty. So basically you have to buy a new intel cpu. Shocker eh?
