I'm not sure my lyrics or vocal-style would be a great fit! XD

Did you have any thoughts for general composition ( IE like standard AABACB or whatever ) to give an idea of how many guitar / bass slots you may want to fill ?

Also, know of any free VST plugins to transform guitar stuff to bass sound ?

exorcyze - you're in! smile.gif

Nothing is decided so if you feel that AABACB is the right thing for the song - then you're welcome to show us your ideas!

Bottom line: I'm very flexible biggrin.gif

Hey Marcus are you still accepting? My recording equipment needs some money thrown at it at the moment but I've tabbed down a variation riff of your intro as a .gp5 if your ready to start accepting...(i'll obviously need either yourself or someone else to play it for me)
Anyhow its a sliding octave riff that i thought would fit just after the intro.
Not all of us are master composers yet so i thought i might as well take a crack at the simpler stuff..
Should i post it now or are you still waiting?

DeepRoots

DeepRoots - you're in!

Sure, just post the .gp5 file here and we'll take a listen to it. smile.gif

Hey Marcus,

Could you post just the drum track, I thing it would help me get a grip on things, I played around some tonight to get the following but it would not be the right tempo, just some ideas I tossed around,,, it is late and I am not thinking straight, better go to bed.
[attachment=1418:attachment]

Awesome leedbreak!! I think that riff could work great for a verse, or maybe som kind of verse intro?

Great job! smile.gif

Ah no - it's just that I am a little tempted to hop in as well... But we'll see - if there is a little spot over when you are almost finished maybe.

That's awesome, Kris! We'll definitely reserve a spot for you... don't worry about that! smile.gif

Also, we need a singer... and we've heard you sing wink.gif What if we finish the song but leave the vocals out? Then It shouldn't take more than half an hour or so for you to record it... if you're interested in singing, that is? smile.gif

well here's my little octave riff- short but sweet

[attachment=1420:attachment]

I guess it'd sound alright over the original riff (when repeated or whatever)

Hehe this sounds fantastic. However I must point out that I am still very week at singing (I practice every day though) - but of course I could have a listen and see if there are any chances of coming up with something. smile.gif
If the resulting song is something progressive with lots of different notes I will most likely not make it.

Anyone of you who can write lyrics... and maybe even sing? smile.gif
-Marcus

I could give the lyrics a crack... maybe the singing too. tongue.gif

I'd love to try that part of it, even if I'm nowhere near as good as Luciana.

I'll refrain from doing any guitar as I dont have a Pod.

Hey everyone,
I tossed around a few ideas yesterday, and I should have something posted within the next couple of days. It's just a matter of working the riffs I hear in my head up to speed on my guitar.
From the intro, I'm guessing the song is going to be in D minor? Please correct me if I'm wrong so that I don't come up with horrible sounding, out of key ideas tongue.gif

Peace cool.gif

ballistic31, man... you totally nailed the feel I'm looking for!! smile.gif

I did a rough recording with your riffs, and put it directly after the intro. I'm not sure that's the right place for it, but I think it sounds pretty cool!
