Some of my closest friends are leaving for college. Its sad because although we spent most summers together, but I felt that it wasnt enough. Its really hard for me taking this. Senior year and summer went by like a second. Man i feel like crying now... Growing up sux

Dude, far be it for me to kick a guy when hes down, but you don't know the half of it!!! Marriage, kids, work, responsibility. You wanna talk about being depressed. Do whatever you can to stay young, because growing up does indeed suck.

On the other hand, theres being your own person. No one telling you what to do. If you get lucky enough, you get to make some money, and buy yourself the things you crave. So all in all, its a mixed bag I guess. Theres good, and bad either way you look.

Keep a positive attitude,
Boris

Well said Boris
And i got the wife and kids responsability ect as well. smile.gif Everybody has hard times man.You know how i try and look at it is all the days you feel are great woudnt be looked at that way if you didnt have the bad or sad ones as well. Its an equal balance and it';s called life.Dude it is had to move on from that stage of kid to man and knowing you and your friends are going your own route's in life but, there's so many cool things about it as well. You have so many things to look forward to that you couldnt have before. You will always miss those days no that never goes away but dont let that get in the way of all the fun that you are going to have in the future.Ofcourse there is nothing anyone on here can say to make you feel better but just try and atleast listen to what everbody is saying.Maybe even drink a few beers and just get through the day and start fresh tomorrow laugh.gif .No seriously i hope you dont let somthing like this eat you up long and hope that you get out of the depressed state a.s.a.p .

Well when life gives you lemons, through them at some one smile.gif...Just kidding Anyways...

But really im sorry. Ive yet to experience this yet being im only 14. I suppose Ill be making a topic like this in 4 years. But man oh man of all the times ive felt down, just think " You only live once, make the best of it." If you and your friends go their seperate ways, so what. Your bound to meet new people and even stay in touch with some of the ones that are going to school!
I may be young but if still seen things in my day. I watched my uncle die of cancer in a hospital bed. His bones were weak, he was vomiting and what not. All he wanted to do was die. But you know what, your young and theres a ton of life still in you. Cheerish it and dont waste it feeling upset.

Sometimes you just cant help feeling sad, and upset ESaJ. Sometimes the bad overcomes the good, and you cant help it. You just gotta look forward no matter how hard it will get, or how depressed, sad, or upset you get. Just look the future. Dont regret what youve done. And always remember, go with the flow because itbeen that way for a LONG TIME so you cant change it now!!

I need to add one more thing. In 1982 I was sixteen. On March 19 my idol suddenly died. His name was Randy Rhoads, and Ozzy fans around here will surely know who I'm talking about. I got so depressed, and despondent, that I quit the one thing I truly loved, guitar. Twenty five years later, I realized the mistake I made, and I have been trying to steal every free hour, practicing, trying to make up for lost time. I'm 41 now, just turned, and I know I have plenty of time left to get to where I want to be. I guess what I'm trying to say is this; instead of mopping around feeling sorry for yourselves, all you youngsters (and that goes double for the senior citizens wink.gif), get to practicing. Become good, join a band, get the chicks, be happy!!!

Thats all I have to say about that,
Boris

the thing that gets me though is the fact that I never hung out w/ anybody but my friends. They became a family to me and the fact that we are all going our seperate ways is just sad. I hate change. One of my negatives in life.
