Haha, yeah, I acually felt a bit bed for not having mentioned 1349, they're just pure awesomeness.

And, The Uncreator, I hope you realise that it's when the clock is 13:37 you're supposed to do something cool! (But it wouldn't hurt to do somethign cool twice, that's true..)

Wow after reading this thread I now realize I took I really odd path to listening to Black Metal.... I went from listening to classical and opera music to discovering BM by accident while doing a research project on Norway. laugh.gif

and for a recommendation I'll throw out Windir. I'm surprised nobody has mentioned them yet:

Well I just watched it, not fully yet, but I gotta say that Dee Snider's scene, was so far my favourite in the movie, those congress men were shocked.

One thing that bugged me though, is that he mentioned Van Halen, and if you gonna mention him you must have the dignity to mention Steve Vai!

Sorry, just had to comment on the UFC. Awesome that someone here likes mma - now I just have to make a topic about it tongue.gif

Anyway, I'd say nowadays Cradle of Filth is an easy introduction to growling too. And when you are ready, check out Moonsorrow and Horna (very raw) smile.gif

And for some more trash influenced stuff, Soulfly is great!

Take care!
