The Showdown is a complete Pantera ripoff, even down to the guitars.

Progressive metal band from my city. If you like Dream Theater, you should give a try:

I love the song Vampire by Khallice, the guitarist Marcelo Barbosa is pretty good, my favourite brazilian guitarists are Edu Ardanuy and Kiko Loureiro from Dr.Sin and Angra...... also, 2 less famous guitarists from Brazil that are awesome are Gustavo Guerra and Oziel Zinho. Other good Brazilian guitarists I would say are Sydnei Carvalho, Juninho Afram, Wellington Vilhena, Renato Palheta, Ricky Furlani and Gil Manoel. They all write good music, so they could be added to the metal recommendations list!! |

Turbo are a good death/thrash band. They only had one album called Last Warrior, but it was killer.

Moonspell aren't on the list. They're doom or gothic, I don't really know.
