Ok so like pretty much everyone on this site would want to be able to play up and down the neck of the guitar back and forth without problems right ? And alot of this is pretty much muscle memory, What IF a fairly easy way to accomplish this would be to .....PLAY IN THE DARK sounds stupid right ? But I thought about it. What a better way to work up your coordination and accuracy. Now im not saying doing this excessivly is good but I think it might be a good Idea ever notice that great guitarists sometimes never look at the fretboard in the most exciting solos ? Same concept....what do you guys think ? tongue.gif

I did this a few times, and it helped me so i didnt ahve to look a the fretboard, and my fingers KNEW what they were doing. Its really ahrd at first, but after words, its quite simple!!

Used to do this whenever I was in sort of a depressed mood, but I agree, it's an easier way to build up coordination and accuracy. Without looking at the frets, you get a definite "feel" for where they are.

I never thought to mention it, glad someone had the idea to put it in writing.

Agreed ! I think were often to concerned with the what were seeing on are fretboard and not necessarily what we are hearing. But I mean for learning purposes I suppose it would be best to look at the frets when your just starting and what not.

Guys I think this combined with the " Practicing stuff at night before you go to bed and the result that you might have a better if not closer feel then how you played it the prior night theory" Work well together !
So practice with minimum if not no lighting and before you go to bed, You will be presently surpised by your progress !

smile.gif Tell me if you guys have any other fresh practice ideas.
