Hey GMC'ers,

A question just came to my mind and I wanted to ask you this.
What is your favourite science ? Or dont you like science at all ?

For myself it is:
In school it is math.
In my free time (at home tongue.gif) it is physics, more the stuff about theory how the world "works".
So i choose physics smile.gif
I also like chemistry, but I dont understand it biggrin.gif

Phsyics - I got an 'A' at A level and would have picked Phsyics for my degree if I hadn't decided to go into computing smile.gif

Quantum mechanics, unification, string theory, quantum loop gravity, relativity, cosmology - its all amazing to me!

Physics. I freakin LOVE watching documentaries/reading science magazines about space and stuff.

Edit: I've never taken any education like this or anything, I just find it really interesting and amazing.

Should be chemistry as I have a Master in it and am Chartered and a member of the Royal Society. But have to say I actually prefer pure maths. I like analytical chemistry but find physical chemistry dull - you can pretty much pass phys chem without knowing the subject provided you can do the maths cool.gif .

However if you wanted to include philosophy as it is the science then philosophy (PhD and I lecture in it and examine at postgrad/PhD level). Philosophy actually gets me to think rather then perform mechanical exercises tongue.gif .

Cheers,
Tony (for what they are worth - BSc BA MBA MA MSc PhD CChem MRSC)

Biology for me, especially evolutionary biology. I love learning about how life came to be on Earth, and I find it fascinating that we evolved over billions of years from very humble beginnings. I also sometimes wonder what human beings will have evolved to in the next million or so years. cool.gif

Physcis are more interesting than math, but math is more beautiful, it's always exact, while physics aren't. Because of that, I pick math, even though I love both math and physics laugh.gif

I'd have to say Biology for me and more specifically Marine Biology. I don't have a degree in it or anthing but studying Sharks has always been a sort of hobby of mine. I read, watch, listen to anything to do with sharks....my fave week of the year is Shark week on Discovery Channel smile.gif . Great Whites are my main focus of interest and I'm actually scheduled for a shark dive next fall....I can't wait.

Edit: I had forgot to vote...done now though

What I like about Biology, is how the brain works. It is very interessting, if we know why we are dreaming or something else smile.gif
And the brain is so extremly powerful, sadly that we dont use the full potential of it :/
