Hmm I have been thinking about differnet ways to develop this so called "Light of Touch". If you dont know what this is. Its pretty much. Not pushing strings down very hard at all. Staying relaxed. It pretty much helps you as an overall player. You dont need this "Light of Touch", but it does help out a lot. Playing super fast, and pushing the strings really hard just makes it harder to play faster. I have been thinking about ways to develop it. Instead of sitting there concentrating on how hard you push the strings down maybe there is a way to just start doing it naturally.

Well I have come up with an idea. Here it is. Natural Harmonics, Seeing that since you have to lightly tap the string to get it to come out. Playing these fast, well is hard. You get all tensed up, and you just dont get any to come out. So i figure if you can practice natural harmonics going fast. Then incorporate lightly touching to just regular playing. It will help you on your path to the "Light of Touch".

Does this sound like a good idea or what?

sounds like an interesting idea. I developed that "light of touch" a few days ago, i still gotta work more on it. But i can play alot of stuff very relaxed.

What i did, is i started practicing hitting the strings very lightly, like if i was lazy as hell, and after a while it worked. I could pick very lightly and still could get a good and audible sound.

Thats one way. I developed mine a while ago. Man was that crazy. I dont think that helped me at all when I first started getting it. I was so sloppy with it lol
